Species Swap AU - Kelpie Pinkie Pie

This is the Species Swap AU, where I depict the Mane 6 as uncommon species from Equestria.

In this universe, Pinkie Pie is a kelpie (from the comics) named Pinkie Pearl. Kept in captivity by ponies from a young age, she was made to sing at parties for the wealthy to scam the song-hypnotized attendants out of money.

Pinkie Pearl wanted desperately to throw her own parties, on her own terms, or at least to be allowed to participate in the party and not be used as a tool for evil.

Finally, one year while in a party near the water’s edge, in the middle of the scamming, one of the wealthy ponies made a joke, which caused Pinkie to laugh hysterically, breaking her song. The guests, woken from hypnosis, became angry, and turned on the scammers. Pinkie Pearl used the distraction as a chance to escape into the water.

Now, she lives free, throwing parties for seaponies, mermares, and sea creatures, and she now knows what it’s like to sing and laugh with joy!
