It was a joy to work with the children and adult performers this Christmas. They were so encouraging. The kids were amazing. This was from our rehearsal and they know how to make a person feel awesome. (Full video to come stay tuned) Many people had no idea that when I first moved to Florida I was not acclimated to this weather. I hadn't lived here in over 20 years. I know it seems ridiculous but it is true. Time flys. And I was thinking just to be able to sing I was going to have to move back to L.A. Because of the Florida weather with all of it's aggravating and irritating allergens singing was difficult. Hitting notes like in these videos were so hard I just couldn't. I thought maybe this is it. My voice has drastically changed and I gotta accept it. But I didn't. It took nearly the whole year to get acclimated to the climate including taking and staying consistent with allergy pills. My throat no longer felt like a brillo pad and a rock at the bottom of my throat. After the #MMC30 reunion I rested my voice for several months. No singing and trying not to yell at Bentley for barking endlessly. I eventually worked with the vocal lessons that I teach to stretch my vocal cords and crunches that helped firm my diaphragm. Some people think that doesn't matter but I believe it does. A lose muscle doesn't have as much control as a tight one. All my workout people say "Heck Yeah"! I am so happy to be just about back to normal. I just gotta keep up vocalizing, which I love to get my throat open by singing "He Is Exalted" after warming and stretching my cords, in both high and low keys. It helps so much because I love the anointing of that song. I must stay consistent with my allergy pills, and working my abs. It is my remarkable instrument that is internal and I shall love it and must care for it. Praise the Lord. Praise God for my voice and the gift of song! This video was from when we first saw the jackets that were given to us the night of the gala. The coolest jacket that was made especially for us at the #MMC30 Reunion.
