SNOW DAY SUCCESS!!!!

Last night’s snow made this morning a beautiful winter wonderland!! (insert all the heart eyed emojis here).

It being a snow day means I had the luxury of waking up without an alarm which meant I slept in and had almost 9 hours of glorious sleep. Then I jumped out of bed to go look out every single window in our house! SO MUCH SNOW! I think we got about 10-12 inches altogether?!

A few hours into the morning/afternoon I decided it was time to venture out so I put on all the clothes. On top I wore a long-sleeved undershirt, t-shirt, fleece pj shirt topped with a sweatshirt, scarf from Peru, fuzzy hat and gloves. On bottom were leggings under jeans, two pairs of socks, and rain boots. I was ready!!! We shoveled our front steps, porch and walkway so the mail lady could get to us (although she didn’t come, we were ready for her!). Then I decided it was now or never so I asked Kevin to come out back with me while he documented my snow angel making. Such a happy day!!!!!!!!!!!!

For dinner/lunch/our only food today since we weren’t hungry this morning, Kevin tried out his new sous vide for the first time and made us the best steaks I’ve ever eaten in my life. It tasted like candy!! Mmmm meat candy.

And the best part?? Work is also cancelled tomorrow!! Four day weekend here we come!!!!
