Milk was more than happy. Coffee was snuggled up in his blanket, and had let him lay in the bed with him tonight. Sure, Milk had his own blanket and pillow and everything, but he got to be with Coffee.
“just tell me if you start getting overstimmed, okay? three taps?” Milk asked.
Coffee nodded, sticking his hand out and flashing the sign Milk had taught him. -i love you-
“love you, too, coffee.” Milk chuckled, so pleased to get this time together.
Coffee smiled and cuddled up again, then wiggled just a little closer. There was still a good six inches between them, but it was better than it had been to begin with when they’d moved in together. Milk hadn’t even been able to be in the same room for a while, his snoring more than Coffee could handle and still sleep, but some position adjustment and better pillows had gotten rid of that and now they were able to at least be in the same bed.
Once Milk was asleep, Coffee looked around, as if checking if someone was watching him...then he carefully started touching Milk’s face.
He was getting himself used to the feeling of Milk’s bones versus his own, but he didn’t want to impose by asking to do this while Milk was awake. He liked how smooth Milk’s bones were. Healthy, scar-less, beautiful. The texture was fascinating.
Milk himself was fascinating. So soft, trusting, kind...Coffee had been drawn to him almost instantly because of that. Milk never made fun of his nonverbal status. He never pulled on his braces or forced him into overwhemling situations if he could help it. Milk took care of him, and cared about him, and Coffee was immensely grateful for that. Only his brother had done that before.
But now he had this smooth, relaxed, loving little figure in his bed, and Coffee was working hard to try and return the favor. He was working so he could show Milk a lot more openly just how much he meant every time he signed ‘i love you’ to him.
