i know you dislike the district 5 dam scene but what about the district 7 forest scene? its just as Illogical and the tone of that glorifies the rebellion even more.
Oh damn… the forest scene.
While despite it being considered guerrilla tactics, I wouldn’t exactly put it into war crime territory; however there is A LOT that’s wrong with it.
Let’s forget for a minute that a big enough detonation like we see there is unlikely to leave those on the tree tops unscathed. Those idiots seemed to have forgotten that… oh I dunno… those weren’t the only Peacekeepers there; and it’s not like they can take the weapons due to blast damage. There’s many things impractical about the Peacekeepers (such as wearing white), but I doubt rotating their soldiers is one of them.
So what we don‘t see are the hovercraft showing up in a few minutes (do they think the other Peacekeepers wouldn’t hear the explosions or be pissed about what happened to their friends) and bombing the crap out of those idiots.
The funny thing is that I actually could see it happening. There’s a reason I consider D7 (where a dam was actually destroyed) the Rebellion’s token psycho teammate.
And yeah, there’s some unfortunate implications that there seems to be some glorification going on.
