It's okay if it's hard to put words on your identity. You're allowed to use umbrella terms and not be specific, or use terms that are a close fit but aren't quite perfect. You can call yourself asexual if you're demi. You can call yourself a lesbian if you're maybe closer to bi but lesbian is more comfortable. You can use contradicting terms, you can use closely related terms... language is messy and as a part of trying to find ourselves in this odd world, we find or make the words we need. You're not lying or deceiving anybody. It's okay.

Just because you haven’t heard of or don’t understand an identity doesn’t mean that identity doesn’t exist and isn’t valid. There are so many different experiences out there, fight the urge to define the world just by your own.

Bi womxn who haven’t been in a wlw relationship are so valid. Be it for personal reasons, cultural reasons, societal reasons, or just because you haven’t gotten there yet! You are still bi, identities aren’t determined by actions alone.

Imagine a perfect day with your partner… Maybe you make pancakes together, maybe you go out for brunch.

Maybe you go for a long country walk and then grab the table by the fire at the pub, maybe you wander around used bookshops and find a cosy cafe.

Maybe you have a romantic candlelit dinner, maybe you go home and put your feet up to watch a film.

Whatever you imagine, know that it’s possible and we wish you luck in finding it!
