heya!! i'm mod inline, but you can call me arc, emmet, or any nickanmes u want ^^

i am a klug fictive in a system of quite a few, although i will most likely be the most active member here

i decided to make this blog because of the otherwise lack of anti-ship safe spaces on this wonderful hellsite, and also because i was very very very bored.

if you want to submit a culture-is, do so with a format similar to this one:

What is being "antiship"?

"Antiship" means against being "proship", very basically

What in the bloody hell is "proship"?

From the urban dictionary:

"A term mostly used in fandoms, but can stretch outside of this to include original characters. The core belief is that shipping two fictional characters, no matter if they are family, share ages gaps considered to be unhealthy, or show blatant signs of being abusive or other generally unsavory behaviors, are valid in a fictional setting."

i have also heard:

proship is against harassment (not inherently)

proship means to be okay with shipping as a concept (started out that way but has since changed)

proship means problematic shipper (i have heard this from proshippers. this is also not true.)

proship means MAP (many maps are in the proship community but not all proshippers are maps)

Why is being "proship" so bad?

Because, contrary to many proshipper's beliefs, fiction can in fact affect reality, and showing terrible and disgusting ships as being great in any way is incredibly harmful.

Also, every fictive in this system has at least one sibling (including chosen ones), and all of us feel connected to our sources, so seeing ourselves shipped with our siblings causes us a lot of disgust.

So you're against showing "bad" or "immoral" relationships at all ever?

No!! Not even a little bit! In fact, I'm entirely alright with terrible things being shown in media - As long as it is made clear that these things are meant to be shown as bad, or at the very least aren't shown as cute or good!

(And no, I'm not saying that media needs to hold your hand and tell you exactly how and why everything is terrible, just that it should be at least a LIL obvious that disgusting and abusive things are bad and not, good or just okay.)

One last thing, although not a question, is this:

Both my kins have brown hair (Dipper Pines and Steven Universe), and I've been distressed about having black hair since I was a kid (I wanted brown) and now suddently there is a brown streak on my hair that came out of nowhere and I'm freaking out!

Some starting info:

1. There are 4 mods on this blog: Me ( beepboops64 ), Blake ( awkwardshinso ), Sewo ( adorable-sero ) and Battery (sleepisthelimbobetweenlifendeath)

Due to this, we’ll be putting which mod posts stuff in tags (mod beep, mod sewo, mod blake, mod battery). There will also be tags for each journal!

2. We’re each writing a journal for a member of the Bakusquad (minus Mina, we’re doing one at a time for each of us, so feel free to dm one of us if you want to join)

3. Every character minus Kirishima has a childhood diary/journal (I might do one later). Kirishima’s at the moment starts in Middle School, but we’ll announce any changes.

4. I write for Kiri, Blake writes for Baku, Sewo writes for Sero, and Battery writes for Kaminari!

5. Most of the diaries will also be up on Ao3 by April 18th (sorry, still waiting for an account. Bakugou and Sero’s are up there though)

6. The characters available for asks are Child!Bakugou and 1st Year Middle School!Bakugou and Kirishima
