So we know how Medic found Archimedes and co after stealing a wedding truck and Soldier got his army of racoons thanks to sour cream.But what about other mercs?Can you do headcanons about how they met their mascots?(Like Demo's pirate or Engi's kitten)

Demo genuinely can’t remember how he got his pirate bird.  He just kind of woke up one morning to the sounds of a bird singing one of his favorite songs to a T, and ever since then he’s just adored it and kept it safe.  Did he steal it?  Find it?  No idea.  But it’s his now and he loves it.

Engie meanwhile found his cat tucked in the engine of Medic’s car one winter morning, and was lucky to find it before the group went out for a drive to get supplies.  He’d just been planning to do a quick checkup of the van and definitely didn’t anticipate finding a mangy little thing, half-starved and looking weak.  He shooed it out at first, frankly surprised that it found its way into the war zone that was the mercs’ home, but it seemed to refuse to leave.  It just sort of hung out in his tinkering garage after that, and eventually he pitied it too much to just let it starve.  He began tossing it food, then handing it over once it came close enough, then once it let him touch it he finally scooped it up and began to take care of it.  His precious little cat is now the perfect blueprint design supervisor.
