Hiyoko Saionji couldn’t have been more surprised if you slapped her across the face.

You were friends, she thought, even if she didn’t always show her affections.  You walked with her at night when the darkness made her skin crawl.  You held an umbrella right over her head as the rain poured down.  She steadied herself with your other arm so she could daintily step over puddles without dirtying her kimono. You came to all of her dance recitals to support her, bringing flowers of congratulations.  The last thing she expected was for you to stop her before she could stick another wad of chewed gum in Mikan’s hair at lunch.

Saijoni’s face went from a pale pink to a tomato red as you refused to let go of her wrist.  Her cheeks puffed out with frustration, and she didn’t know what was worse -- that you’d betrayed her or that you’d chosen that fugly skank over her.  The blonde girl’s eyes welled up with tears, and she shouted up at you, “If you like her so much, then why don’t you be her friend instead?!” In the shocked silence that followed, Hiyoko jerked herself out of your loose grip and ran off.

You found her a few minutes later, crying in an empty classroom.  All it took was one look at you, and she was yelling, “Go away!  I hate you!” but her sobbing had only gotten worse.  Instead, you picked up a box of kleenex and crouched by her side.   The Ultimate Traditional dancer angrily yanked a handful of tissues out of the box to wipe at her nose and face.  You didn’t rush her.  You knew she’d talk when she was ready.

“Wanna tell me what’s up, Hiyoko?” you asked once her tears had died down.

It was hard for her to stay mad at you when you seemed so worried about her.  Still, she crossed her arms over her chest, glared away from your face as she huffed, “You chose Mikan over me, your friend.”

“But she’s my friend too,” you began to explain, “you both are my friends, and I won’t let anyone bully my friends, even if the bully is my friend too.”

That threw her for a loop.  Hiyoko sniffed indignantly, “I’m not a b-bully.  She’s just a slut!”

Your supremely unimpressed expression made it clear that you were not convinced.  “Listen to yourself,” you chided gently, “You’re better than this, Hiyoko.  You’re hardworking and talented and passionate.  You don’t have to put others down to make yourself feel better.”

Saijoni sulked in her seat, refusing to answer you.  So you put your arms around her and hugged her close to yourself. You could feel her trembling when you continued warmly, “I’ll always be your friend.  I promise.”  You couldn’t get another word out of her for the rest of the day, but she never let go of your hand.  Of course, she wouldn’t change overnight.  Bad habits are hard to break, and insecurities aren’t easily overcome.  But no matter what, you’d be there, supporting Hiyoko and believing in her even when she didn’t believe in herself.  

If Mikan had learned anything in her life, it was that she was worthless, disgusting, and unworthy of even the air she breathed.  Abuse after abuse had been heaped upon her until she believed she deserved a life of suffering.  Most days, she regretted her very existence for the inconvenience it did others.  As her friend, you couldn’t let her live like that, not without doing everything you could to show her how wonderful she really was.

The first time you complimented her, the Ultimate Nurse looked around the infirmary as if she thought you were speaking to someone else.  When you clarified that you meant her, she stared blankly at you for a moment before realisation dawned on her like the rising sun.  Her pale cheeks flushed a light pink, her eyes lighting up as she smiled shyly back at you.  “Th-th-thank you, (Your Name)-san.”  

This wilted flower of a girl had forgotten the warmth of daylight, and every kindness that came her way was a ray of hope in the darkness.  With every word of encouragement, she stood a little straighter, and you could see a little color come back into her life.  So you did your best to shine bright for her, chasing away the clouds of despair that hung over her so heavily.  You refused to let anyone bully or berate her, least of all herself.

At first, Tsumiki was afraid of making you angry.  You had no patience for cruelty or injustice.  Your temper flared any time someone put others down.  But you understood that negative self-talk was just the norm for the Ultimate Nurse.  Instead of snapping at her like she expected, you would gently interrupt her self-deprecating speeches to remind her, “that’s not true” before meeting her eyes, taking her hands, and urging her to say just the opposite.

“I’m ugly,” became “I’m beautiful.”

“I’m stupid,” became “I’m smart.”

“I’m worthless,” became “I’m valuable.”

She didn’t sound like she believed it, but Mikan said them anyway to make you happy.  One day, she would realise just how special she was.  One day, she would mean those praises she parroted back at you.  Until then, you’d help her love herself one step at a time.

“Stop it!”  You just couldn’t handle it anymore.  Komaeda stopped mid-sentence, startled at your sudden interruption.

“(Your name)?  Is something wrong?”

“Of course something’s wrong,” you scowled over the cafeteria table at him. “If I hear you call yourself ‘scum’ one more time, I’m gonna scream!”

“Oh,” Nagito blinked owlishly at you before offering a rueful, “My presence offends you.  I’m sorry.  If you like I’ll just--”

You hushed him, leaning over to put a finger over his lips before scolding, “Jeez, for such a smart guy, you can be so dense.” The white-haired boy remained obediently silent, a slight tilt of his head to one side asking the question he couldn’t voice. You sighed, struggled to put into words what you wanted him to understand. “Nagito… you’re not scum or garbage or a ‘stepping stone for some greater hope’.” That phrase was another that you could do without hearing ever again. “You’re just as important as anyone else here at Hope’s Peak, and I’m tired of you putting yourself down all the time.  Do you understand?”

After a moment, Komaeda nodded, and you reluctantly withdrew your hand and sat back into your seat.  You instantly regretted it.  “Oh, (Your Name), that’s just like you,” he sighed with a sympathetic smile that made you groan out loud when he continued, “Caring about someone as worthless as me…”

You practically threw yourself across the table to slap your hand back over his mouth. “I swear to God, I’ll duct tape your mouth shut if you do that again,” you hissed.  Komaeda’s gray eyes glittered with maddening amusement.  He could be so damn stubborn… but so could you.  Two could play this game. “If you think I’m so much better than you, then you’ll do what I say, right?”

Nagito seemed to be considering it at least, if for no other reason than to stop upsetting you.

“Stop insulting yourself, it’s annoying,” you scolded before admitting, “and it upsets me.”

A single white brow raised as a silent question from the Ultimate Lucky Student. It seemed like you would need to elaborate.

“I… really like you, Nagito.” A blush made your cheeks burn as you hoped he wouldn’t misunderstand.  Better to spit it all out before he had a chance to interrupt. “You’re a good friend to me, and I won’t let anyone insult my friends, got it?”  Komaeda nodded slowly, but you weren’t about to let him talk just yet.  You needed to try and save face.  “You’re stuck with me,” you groused, “So don’t piss me off, okay?”

There was a long pause as you stared down the boy, wanting to be sure he knew how serious you were.  When you finally withdrew your hand, it was slowly, eyes narrowed with wary alertness.  But to your amazement, Komaeda said nothing.  He merely smiled at you, sitting up straighter in his seat as his chest swelled with pride.  God, what a dork!

You both normally go on walks when he has downtime. It’s fun and a nice way to relax when he’s not engulfed in work.

He likes to hold your hand and kiss the back of it, call it special treatment but this man fawns over you.

So, when your hand falls to move down by your lap you accidentally brush against his manhood. You didn’t notice of course.

He got tense and his stride changed, you could see him stepping off more to the opposite side. Which was indeed random and it only made you reach over to take hold of his hand again.

This time you can visibly see his “discomfort” you react with a hug wondering what’s wrong as you question him about it.

He only tenses up more and his cheeks tint a deep red. “Erm...I’m fine.” He’s not, you’re not even doing anything special to him.

You tend to grab the cuff of his long sleeve to pull him along when you walk. He doesn’t mind, he thinks it has its own charm to it honestly.

You hand brushed in front of his crotch. You didn’t seem to think anything of it as you pulled him along the private walkway path.

His lips pursed together and he appeared to be mildly annoyed by the clearly accidental gesture.

He was about to tell you to be careful but you turned around with an innocent look on your face. He openly blushed and inwardly swore to himself.

It caught you off guard and you stopped to ask him what was up. “It’s nothing.” He looked off to the side with his arms crossed over his chest.

After staring at him briefly you’d start walking again, he’d follow along behind you with his hands at his sides now. He walked slower than you on these leisurely strolls. You reach for his sleeve and your hand brushed lightly against him once more.

It made him wonder if you were doing this on purpose to tease him or possibly vex him but you returned his gaze with that same innocence and he visibly blushed again.

You step up and reach up with your hand to touch his forehead, wondering if he had a fever or some illness. When he reassures you, you drop your hand. Unknowingly you brushed against him for the final time.

He quickly grabbed your fallen hand and squeezed with narrowed red eyes. “Stop it.” Your brows knit together in confusion. He glares at you out of annoyance and frustration. It’s safe to say that the walk was cut short and he reprimanded you for your careless actions.

Madara

He wasn’t sure if you noticed, and when he realized you didn’t he wore a light smirk on his lips. “You should watch where those hands move ____.” He’d say out of nowhere.

It was confusing, his words at least. He wasn’t going to warn you again. That’s for sure, but he didn’t stop you whenever you got close. Or when your hands moved against him with your idle movements.

He sat there and observed to see when you’d notice. It wasn’t very arousing as it was amusing for him. But your hands were soft, he could feel that much.

It started to dawn on him that he liked the way you hands felt a little too much. His brow creased and he just walked in an eerie silence.

You look over at him then reached out sweetly to grab his hand but he catches it in his own and pulls you close to his side.

That’s when you finally understood what he was talking about. You both stop walking and you stare up at him with wide eyes. “It was an accident!” You exclaimed like you’ve been caught red handed.

A simple smirk snakes it’s way across his lips and he nods, black eyes peering down at you. They were inticing, looking away never crossed your mind.

“Oh I know. You still have consequences to pay.” It was clear you were in for it, even more so when he pulled you over to the nearby hedges.

Hashirama

The first time it happened he was confused and a bit startled.

He thought you were sleep walking...all the way to his house?

He was sound asleep in his bed when you came in. It was in the middle of the night too so he wasn’t expecting anything like this to occur.

“____?” He’d say with sleep still apparent in his voice, he could see you getting comfortable and snuggling up onto him. He didn’t have the heart to question you about it.

After a while it’s habitual at this point, he gave you a spare key to his home.

He’s afraid to ask you to move in tho, rejection doesn’t sit well with him.

I mean if you keep this up he might have to start sleeping with more clothes on...

He finally questioned you about it. After you explain to him that you don’t like sleeping alone and that you love the warmth he gives off when you’re both cuddled up in bed together.

He hugs you so tight you can’t breathe, “Then live with me ____! You can throw yourself on me every night and never sleep alone!” It was silent after that remark since he could tell it may have sounded wrong. You stifled a laugh and he blushed out of embarrassment. You can’t say no to that!

Tobirama

Be careful with this one lol

He will attack you subconsciously while he’s resting.

There isn’t much that can rattle him to his core but this did. His guard is completely down when he’s sleeping and his sensory is a bit dulled.

When it first happened, he was startled. He jolted awake and head butted you by accident when he shot up. “Tch.” He was mad, rubbing his forehead, “How did you even get in? The door was locked.”

Hashirama gave you a spare key to his house ??? He’d have to have a long talk with his careless older brother’s unsaid actions.

As it happened more and more often, Tobirama began to expect your destined appearance. He can sense you coming a mile away.

Honestly he just wanted to be more prepared, it felt awkward for him to get sneaked up on so easily by you.

He’d be sure to have extra blankets and pillows in his bed so that you wouldn’t hurt yourself upon jumping into bed with him.

He has long since accepted that you enjoy being in bed with him at night. In fact he enjoys your company more than you know.

Madara

Also, not a smart thing to do. I mean they did all grow up in times of war so naturally this Uchiha male is a light sleeper.

When it happened for the first time, he didn’t bother looking to see who you were.

He reached up to grab you by the neck and flip you over onto your back. He nearly choked you out and killed you upon reflex.

But of course he stopped right away when he saw it was you. He removed his hands quickly but kept you in a harmless straddle.

He was silent as he stared down at you. His brows knitted together and his arms crossed. “____. What are you doing here? I could’ve seriously hurt you.” He chuckled a bit as you sat up the best you could holding your neck with a glare.

You explained to him right there about how you don’t enjoy an empty bed especially when he’s so close.

After a few times of him attacking you out of habit he just expected you to come.

He’d start sleeping with less clothes too for extracurricular activities. ;) ;)

Madara would eventually tell you to stop or move in.

If you weren’t ready to move in and really stopped coming in the night. He’d get kind of upset. He didn’t really mean it, he just wanted you to be with him all the time. Which is something he’d never admit to openly.

Like the audacity??? He’d start going over to your place and plopping into bed with you!

Eventually though, you moved in. His house was bigger...and his bed was way more comfortable.

He scares easily, please be mindful if he’s holding things.

It confuses him too because he’s a seasoned shinobi and you shouldn’t be able to sneak up on him like this.

When you first did it, he was holding a cup of tea and standing in the den to the house. Then, out of no where a loud ‘BOO’ echoed through the air around him.

He dropped the tea and shattered the cup, he turned around and then looked down to see you behind him smiling cheekily. “How the...? When did you get here? I didn’t hear you.”

You know that confused face meme with all the math equations. That’s literally Hashirama trying to figure it out.

He still can’t because every time you try it, it works and he’s left dumbfounded.

He had half the mind to start keeping his guard up when you’re around but he knows it’s harmless fun for you.

Might give him a heart attack though so don’t do it so often. He still loves that you’re small enough and quiet enough to get the jump on him. He rewards you with kisses and a pats on the head. It’s not an easy thing to do.

Tobirama

Honestly, I don’t see this being a thing that happens very often. Tobirama is a sensory ninja he will feel you coming from a mile away if not further. He has memorized your chakra signature and your aura and, even during these times of peace he always has his guard up.

Although, when it’s just the two of you. He doesn’t pay much attention and you’ve managed to get the jump on him a few times. The first time was when he was reading in his study area of the house. Lounging peacefully in the arm chair and dozing off.

You were so quiet that he couldn’t have heard your footsteps. I mean his hearing his superbly outstanding. You crawled over like a cat and he stirred lightly in the chair.

You yelped out to surprise him only to have him jump up and his red eyes grow wide. He quickly reached out to attack but he stopped himself from making any contact when he came to the realization that it was you.

“....” He was quiet, you could see clearly that he was angry. You sit there with an innocent expression on your face... he’s into that innocent thing ;) ;). “Don’t.” He said shaking his head and staring you down, “Don’t ever do that again, it’s dangerous.”

You do it again despite his words, he of course punished you for it once it became reoccurring. He really can’t stand it. Though you look so cute and innocent when he catches you that he just sighs in defeat most times and lets it go.

Now, his guard is mostly always up and he turns around each time he feels you coming. He just glares lightly but you end up kissing him on the cheek once you’re caught trying to one up him. He thinks it’s cute and sometimes catches you where you’re not able to escape his grasp so easily.

Madara

I wouldn’t recommend sneaking up on him, he’s a bit violent and it’s only because it’s reflex. Mostly.

He was doesn’t like it very much, though it’s so intriguing that you’ve managed to accomplish such a feat.

He was sleeping when you tried it out for the first time. He’s a light sleeper of course but still nonetheless asleep.

You stalked up to his side quietly but before you could make a sound his eyes opened and he quickly moved to clip you and straddle you. It hurt when you hit the floor but it was totally worth it to see the several different conflicting expressions cross his face.

Anger, astonishment, confusion and awe and possible fear. “I didn’t hear you.” His admission was definitely something that vexed him. “How could I not have heard you?” He asked himself more than he did you.

After this has happened a few times and with each time you landing on your ass, he had grown accustomed to you trying it out. It doesn’t work when he’s awake (nor does it work on tobirama when he’s awake) and when he’s sleeping he only pulls you in to lock you into his arms. Even if it’s to make you regret trying to sneak up on him.

Akin to the 2nd hokage he catches you in the midst of trying to scare him. He still finds it a bit bothersome that he can’t hear your footsteps. He tries to listen to them from time to time but he can’t seem to hear a sound. He thinks you’d make a great espionage shinobi.
