my friend posted on instagram that she was dating her friend on Apr 1 and then 4 days later she was like 'haha that was a joke, ya i love her but I identify as straight yall😅' and im just.. kinda upset? she goes to the school's GSA and stuff so i didnt expect her to pull that kinda stuff...... idk i was rly happy for her but wanted to tell her in person instead of online and now its like 'well at least i didnt make a fool of myself..'

The homophobia is astounding. So is she insinuating that gay relationships are a joke? I think you have every right to be offended. 

I would maybe even address it with her. Something like “As an ally, I would have thought you would think more critically about how you might be offending someone with that april fools joke.”

Sorry your friend pulled that kind of stunt.
