Moira x Sick! Reader Headcanons

Hello! Recently having my wisdom teeth taken out (it’s horrible do not recommend) has inspired me to write about Moira and how she’d treat you if you were feeling ill.

She would never openly admit it but seeing you in pain did bring her some … discomfort. She’s not used to letting people close and so it frustrates her how much she cares about you.

Moira would remain busy in her lab as you rested but the thought of your current state would pick at the deepest parts of her brain throughout the day.

She stands over the bed as you sleep and watches you at times, her tall frame casting shadow over your body.

Her hands would remain behind her back, as if observing a test subject. Though, sometimes she would reach out and you’d feel her cold hand cradle your jaw if only for a moment before bending down and kissing your forehead gently as you slept.

Moira undoubtedly understands quite a bit about the human body and so she ensures you’re caught up on the necessary medication. “Take these.” She would say with slender fingers offering you a small paper cup with a variety of vitamins, antibiotics and painkillers if needed.

Each day she would monitor your status. “How are you feeling today?” She would ask, genuine concern hidden behind her usual cold expression.

Moira would encourage you to eat, shower, get up and brush your teeth. Insisting that it would make you feel better.

She would help with those tasks if you asked but would not assume you needed it unless stating otherwise.

She found joy in your compliance. She sometimes fantasized you were her personal little experiment, willing to do whatever she deemed appropriate.

Though she’s relieved to see you feeling better, a worse side, a sick side of her wished you had remained ill for just a little longer. She liked when you were more or less dependent on her.

Sick

(Cass, Ashe, Moira, Hanzo)

A/N : I have gotten Covid from work and feel like I'm dying. In response to my fatal blow enjoy these lil headcanons.

Cassidy :

He gets really worried! Although he will try not to show it.

He will make a few jokes and try to get you in a better mood if it’s even possible.

It’s a bit random but I feel like he’s very good at making soup. He has a lot of experience being able to whip up anything. And he definitely wants to treat you.

He will keep you warm, comfy and fed! You shouldn’t have to worry about a thing with him around. 

Ashe :

The moment she realizes you’re sick there’s a symphony of cuss words and her looking around the house for medication.

She rounds up whatever you need and then some. She will make sure you get better - you’re her responsibility!

She’s good at making sure you’re hydrated and propped up. She wants to make sure you rest and recover properly.

She isn’t scared of getting sick herself. She will hold you and do whatever is soothing for you to relax.

Moira :

Now she’s a bit terrifying when working on her experiments but with you she’s more relaxed.

She is a doctor after all. Even if it’s a bit unethical at times..

She gets any and every vitamin ready. Pills on hand and will nurse you back to health very quickly and effectively. 

She’ll rub her nails down the side of your face and talk about stupid things that happen in the lab. 

Hanzo :

Hanzo doesn’t say anything when he notices you’re sick. He just gets to work.

You’re bombarded with blankets and a big water bottle. He basically force feeds you medication. 

Once you’re settled in bed he will sit on the side and just watch over you, occasionally rubbing your arm. 

I feel like he has some good warm soup/ramen he used to make for Genji and would definitely make for you. You’re his family and he cares.

Talon & Secret Talents (Headcanons) Super indulgent, but these are what I think the members of Talon would have their secret talent as. My asks are open and requests are welcome, enjoy (they're under the cut c:)

Akande Ogundimu / Doomfist: I can honestly imagine Akande being incredibly good at Luthiery, which is crafting and repairing string instruments like guitars and violins. He taught himself years ago, and has continued honing his skills, modifying instruments and making them out of unconventional materials just to prove to himself he can do it. It's something Akande takes great pride in, serving as a way for him to relax with something mindless and meticulous.

Gabriel Reyes / Reaper: Gabriel has a secret talent for wine and beer making, often spending months at a time making some for his wife, or his colleagues for their birthday. He'll never tell them that he made it, just that it was the cheapest in the store to throw them off his track. Gabriel was taught by his dad how to, and has since loved making it out of ingredients that you wouldn't expect, like sugary sweets or caffeinated drinks. He enjoys the time spent carefully watching it brew, spending weeks to months focused on making sure it tastes divine.

Moira O'Deorian: Honestly I like to think that Moira's good at embroidery, especially cross stitching. She was taught how to do it by her mother, who was taught by their mother and so on. It's a family gift, and she values the time spent carefully making beautifully woven creations. She used to fabric dye too, taking her time with an airbrush to make the most beautiful Ada for people to buy from her. It's her secret hobby, and it helps her to unwind especially if she can't sleep that night.

Siebren de Kuiper / Sigma: Siebren's always enjoyed writing, finding it to be the best way to express his thoughts and feelings. Over time, his writing has become more erratic, scattered, and incoherent. It's something that weighs on his mind from time to time, but he enjoys reading back his older works, like diary entries or poetry he's written. It fills him with a hope of returning to that mental state, and writing in and of itself helps him to clear the echoing thoughts that linger each day. 

Amelie Lacroix / Widowmaker: Amelie has always loved dressmaking, and considers herself to be a talented seamstress. She's always enjoyed it, and it's something even Talon wouldn't be able to pry from her hands. Amelie made her wedding dress, cocktail dresses for parties, and likes to make new patterns for future designs as often as possible. It's something meticulous, and helps to focus her mind on something that won't impact her negatively. Often, Moira and Olivia will ask Amelie to make them designs that she thinks would compliment them, but wouldn't expect her to make the dress completely for them, often tailoring it to be absolutely perfect on them. It's not as much of a secret talent as she'd like it to be, with Moira and Olivia being the only people that know about it. However, she values their opinions on her work, and appreciates the way they express their gratitude over the dresses she makes for them. It makes her feel as though she has a purpose again; one that doesn't have a road of dead bodies following her.

Olivia Colomar / Sombra: Olivia's scarily gifted at photography and photo editing. She has a secret blog and secret twitter to share her creations, to conceal her identity and prevent anyone finding them. Her works are based on her traumas, and the things going on in Dorado that she can't prevent. They're often thought provoking, bringing light to the things that people often overlook. She likes to add an element of hope into the images, and likes to add a line that adds to the work to each post. They're not popular by any means, with rarely anyone interacting with them, but she doesn't care - as long as someone's documenting the way her home is being destroyed by the violence, she's content. It's something she intends to keep private, and she doesn't want to attach her face or name to the images she's creating.

Maugaloa Malosi: Maugaloa has a talent for memorising and recalling information - even when he was a child, he was applauded for his ability to recall exact details of the smallest things from months ago. It's something he prides himself on, but doesn't talk about often enough, wanting to utilise this skill when it'll suit him the most. He enjoys the ability to memorise things, often seeing it as a weapon ready to be used whenever he needs/wants.

What would Gob and Moira be like as traveling companions?

GOB

He would initially be really nervous to go outside of Megaton

Extremely curious about ghoul communities, which encourages him to explore with Lone

He’s a very wary companion and scopes out for danger any chance he gets

Struggles to sleep the first few nights outside

With a little more time getting used to it, he handles a gun pretty well in a fight and becomes more witted in fighting banter with enemies (which amuses Lone)

Enjoys the taste of freedom regardless of the price of giving up safety behind walls

Not great with hand-to-hand combat and pretty clumsy in difficult terrain

He especially loves visiting the Underworld [and Tenpenny Tower- assuming the other ghouls live there]

One day hopes to find a new place for himself in the Wasteland and talks highly about each new location they visit

Traveling conversations with him would involve deep personal talks about his next steps in life as he looks to Lone for advice, as well as friendly banter as he grows more comfortable with Lone as a friend/companion

Moira

She’s very curious about developing new survival tactics in the dangerous Wasteland and practically jumps at the opportunity to go explore with Lone

Has several maps with pre-marked locations of “hidden treasures” she wishes to find, all of course are just rumors she’s heard from travelers but she’s hopeful

Her bag is always stocked with goods for both her and Lone

Her handgun skills are merely average, but she’s surprisingly great with long-range scoped weapons

Bartering with traders comes naturally to her and she can easily obtain deals for Lone’s personal trading

Always carrying a sweet treat

She learns she has a love for explosions; Develops great handling on grenades

Lone’s input would be required for a new Wasteland Survival Guide that Moira determines she must write during her travels, as they experience a lot of new dangers together every day

Traveling conversations with her would include a lot of babbling about absolutely nothing, but also some very interesting theoretical inquiries whenever they come across a little-phenomenon

Moira has a habit of taking advantage of the people under her and you never understood it until you worked for her. However after a few weeks as her direct personal assistant you are starting to understand how and why people give themselves so willingly to her.

She is controlling but has mastered the art of positive reenforcement. Scolding and degrading one moment and praising and rewarding the next. She knows how to break people down and build them back up to suit her purposes. Within a week she's calling you her "Good pet" and "Well trained servant". She is charming and manipulative and quickly has you willing to do anything to garner her approval.

Moira is a tall woman and surprisingly strong and she likes to casually remind her assistant of this fact. Often pinning them against a wall with a flicker in her and a cutting edge to her voice. She has also been known to take you by the forearm or by a fistful of hair and move you where she wants you. Not afraid to use force to get what she wants on occasion.

She also has a fascination with the human body and no one is safe. Not even her closest assistants. Moira is constantly asking to try things on you or test some reflex or reaction. She loves to make people squirm and will take any chance to do it, especially if she can learn something in the process.

Moira also likes to push boundaries and limits. She does this by working you to the bone, calling you in at all hours and giving you the oddest tasks just so she can watch you struggle to complete them. She also has a habit of asking invasive and personal questions while never answering any about herself. Before you know it she seems to know everything about you but you know next to nothing about this mysterious woman siphoning away your life.

A few weeks ago, after a couple of drinks, Moira made a bet with Gabriel Reyes: If she ever lost to him in a fight, she'd have to print a picture of him on every pillowcase she owns.

Little did she know back then that her HP would get nerfed, and she'd eventually have to face the Reaper cushions.

-Moira loves having you in her lab while she's busy with paper work, or working on something. She never has you out of sight, since she's apart of Talon, you might as well be too. She doesn't want you hurt. She ALWAYS has a set of eyes on you, whether it's another Talon member, or someone she payed out her own pocket.

-You are literally so precious to her, she can't (almost) stand it! She loves pulling your cheeks and kissing you all the time. Moira doesn't hate PDA but she isn't fond of it either. But what ever you want, she'll go along with.

-After a trip she ALWAYS brings you back something. She loves your pretty face when you're in awe from what she brought you! She thinks you look so adorable.

-Always comes to bed late, you may hate it, but she is a working woman. Whenever she does come to bed she cuddles you. She really does love you and she wants you to know EVERY second!

-She loves to give you pet names! like lil bunny or puppy!
