finally gave cara and moirae fresh new designs! been unhappy with their old designs for ages, but now i think ive finally settled on something i can see myself using going forward ^_^ so here's a bit of a reintroduction to these two!

caravaggio (or cara for short) is the daughter of greely and liza, sister to galileo. unlike galileo, she's actually already earned her alpha stone when she broke moirae free from their petrified form. this makes her the newest alpha, and the first of the alpha kids to become a fully realized alpha like her parents. in turn, everyones eyes are on her and their expectation are astronomically high, and her training and studies have taken over her life. shes constantly tired, exhausted, and drained. like her father, she comes off as distant and cold, struggling with social interaction, yet like her mother she can be a paranoid mess that's always trying to please everyone. she's just trying her best, yet it never seems to be enough

moirae is the child of the ancient leaders star and fang, originally created by mira as a gift to the two leaders in an attempt to bring them closer together and ease the tensions between the sabers and the dires. when that didnt work, as fang claimed moirae all for herself, and the war between the two species worsened, zios grew enraged and began an onslaught on the ancient animals, beginning with the murders of star and fang. mira, in a panic, took the heartstones of the ancients and sealed them away, using her own creation as the final seal, hiding the heartstones away from zios until a better, safer time could come. now, moirae has risen once more along with the rest of her kind, into a scary and unfamiliar world that worships the very god that sought to eradicate them. safe to say theyre not very happy about that. angry, loud, and generally not pleasant to be around, moirae's only comfort is the alpha that freed them from their stony prison: cara

In Prometheus' Bound, Prometheus says the Moirai are stronger than Zeus, is he lying? I thought Fates are more focused on mortal life, with the spinning and cutting the thread, but here they know the fate of the gods too?? I'm confused. How fate/destiny, 3 Moirai and Zeus commanding the fate actually works? D:

It is not really a matter of strength here in the classical essence. It is the notion that Fate is unchangeable and no one should or can mess with it. Not even the gods

That is because Moirai (Fates) are part of the law of Cosmos. Gods cannot mess with the law of Cosmos otherwise everything will get destroyed. It is not that the Moirai are gonna fight Zeus in arms and win but rather that the way events are measured by them are already definitive and unchangeable

For instance in the Iliad Zeus saw the destiny of his son Sarpedon to die. He was devastated and was tempted to intervene but Hera stopped him and even scolded him for his carelessness because the gods are not separate from the law of destiny. Sarpedon was to die and no one could or should do anything about it.

Gods have their dominions within the Cosmos. If Cosmos is disrupted then there will ge nothing left. This is the notion that Zeus cannot face the Moirai. Because the Moirai are part of the cosmic order and Zeus's job is to oversee the cosmic order and if necessary enforce it and in one way commanding it but he can't and shouldn't change it
