this morning i was trying to get up for work and i got sleep paralysis so i was sitting there pissed as fuck listening to my alarm going off and being unable to move. but it was bright outside so the usual Terror and Despair of Paralysis was replaced by me being Pissed. then i got to work one minute early despite being unable to move until 45 minutes before my shift. unforchies my Evil Boss was there and she made me scrub congealed canola oil off of rack wheels and refrigerator vents for six consecutive hours. the vents had not been cleaned for ages and they were dusty and moldy. i have a terrible mold allergy. it makes me sneeze and cough and gives me horrible horrible brain fog and derealization and on rare occasions, many many worse things. exhibit a of the brain fog: i JUST realized that the mold caused my weird behaviour today even though these symptoms are a well established pattern that occurs whenever i get mold exposure. exhibit b: by the time i got off of work i clocked out incorrectly because my brain was so fuzzy. then i was talking to the shift manager in the back office and almost accidentally clocked back in because i saw the POS screen and was like "ah yes let me do what i normally do here." and my shift manager just stared at me and said "what the hell are you doing." and i said "i am so. so tired, aren't i. i'm going to take a nap." and i did NOT do that. i got home, chugged coffee, went to the asian supermarket and the grocery store and got home and wondered. why am i so tired? surely it couldn't be my predetermined mold allergy that always makes me tired and stupid and nauseous. anyways homework time! and then i sat on the floor for just a second to rest my legs and woke up two hours later feeling like the devil's taint. my ears burn and i am incapable of complex thought. i was trying to read my homework and all of the words started unspooling in front of my eyes. and then i realized. wait...perhaps...the mold? i have so much to do but my brain has been replaced by cotton. i do have a good excuse to Not Do My Things. but i know for a fact that if i do ANYTHING right now, i'll fuck it up. anyways this post has been me justifying my self care night (write evil fanfiction and watch kdrama while cross-stitch).

the biggest reason we wanted to leave our last apartment was because it was over 100 years old and full of mold. since our stuff couldn’t be picked up when we originally arranged it, it all sat in the apartment for 2 weeks. no a/c running (there was no a/c to begin with), windows closed, in an extremely humid place. then it was shipped across the country in a pod. our stuff is covered in mold. at one point today while unpacking the pod, I got really violently sick. it was like my body was trying to puke through my lungs. I’ve never felt so horrible before or puked so hard, I bursted blood vessels all over my face and neck.

We're not just desperate, but we're funny too!

It'd the dead of winter, and we all know that nobody in their right mind would chose to move when there's 6" of snow on the ground, but that's where we're at - why are we moving?

Reasons we're moving:

*Health- My mother has been living with MS for years now, which means she can no longer walk well, nor move or lift anything.

She just recently had an MRI and a CAT scan showing an abnormality on her lung. We don't know if this is related to the mold, or god forbid, is cancer - but we know that we cannot deal with either outcome in this house.

* A landlord who has not addressed issues, such as broken and dangerous front steps, supplying adequate fire alarms, and other issues such as:

-Heat - despite plastic on the windows, there is still cold wind entering the house, and the heat exiting the house. In addition to that, we hadn't had heat until Nov. 1st, despite the cold, due to the landlord not having the heating system fixed.

- Mold in the basement and the walls, that has resulted in difficulty breathing while in the house (though the difficulty subsides when at friends houses) as well as other mold related illness symptoms.

Essentially, our living situation is no longer bearable, and though moving in the winter is not ideal, we can't stay here any longer.

What we need:

We're looking to raise $1,000 by December 15th to help with the cost of hiring movers (as stated above, my mother is disabled and I cannot move our possessions by myself) as well as help with paying for a security deposit on an apartment.

If anyone see’s this i may be able to post for a day or two due being sick because of inhaling mold
