Marcel would look like a beta fish, he would be sleek and slim with shimmering silver scales and long gossamer fins that flow around him like silk in the water, they are the same silver as his scales and slowly fade to this lovely pastel green.
Ozmander would be a great white shark.
Mollycap would be a sea sponge.
Niphorbis would be a blue ringed octopus. Sitting in the dark corners of a coral reef, the bight blue rings of his tentacles shimmering like stars in the shadows.
Dillon would have the lower body of a sea rabbit. Just this soft cut little blob of a boy trying his best.
Angelique is a gold fish mermaid. Her tail is all shimmering beautiful golden scales, she also has the goldfish ability to grow to match their environment. So she is quite a large mermaid.
Segara is a flying fish.
Baba Yule is drift wood.
Serrabeth is a swordfish.
Nivel is a blue whale merman. While he is not a particularly large walker I feel the songs whales sing fit him well.

Niphorbis rather enjoys New Capenna, particularly messing with the Obscura. It reminds him of his youth back in Meletis humbling those who think to highly of their cunning. Also watching someone set up all their dominos just for him to bat them to pieces just soothes his inner kitty.
Serrabeth is making up for lost time having been stuck on Ixalon for so long. She teamed up with this rather rambunctious woman named Jolene and the two of them have been making off like bandits.
Angelique has fit in with the Cabaretti all to well. Her glamor and style has made her quite the rising star as she spend her night on the plane sings in the Green Fairy lounge. Not to mention her enchanted voice has quite the effect on Halo.
It has been a long time since Nivel has found as much inspiration on a single plane as he has on New Capenna. the vibrant jazz of the plane so unlike anything he has ever experience and completely change his view on music. It has quite the effect on his music biased magic.
Mollycap has become the single biggest part crasher in Cabaretti history! Becoming Rocco's personal nightmare as in one of her escapade the strange mushroom person ate an entire serving tray of shrimp, had strange plant things swimming in the punch bowl and made off with an entire part sized panna cotta.
I'm actually using New Capenna to rework Segara and the story of Jungala.
In his new back story Segara in the third son to the sultan of Harva'parva. Being thirst in line to the throne Segara was quite content with a life dedicate to honing his mind, body and spirit to one day serving as a adviser to he eldest brother. That is until some of his brother died under mysterious circumstances.
Suspecting fowl play, Segara investigated only to be assaulted by a powerful demon. He only survived by his spark igniting, arriving on New Capenna body and mind broken. With his memories spotty at best Segara spent a long time on the plane, eventually working in the law offices of the brokers.
Segara keen intellect and demigod philology allowed him to bring out the full existent of the Brokers contract magic. The peacock is able to make a contract with someone exchanging some of his magic for a portion of theirs. Segara dose not know why he is compelled to do this expect for a lingering fear in the back of his mind that he is not safe.
This feeling proved to be apt as the very demon who attack him on Jungala manifested in the offices of the Brokers. Even with the magics he had gathered Segara was still no match for her. The encounter though helped trigger some of Segara's lost memories, letting him planeswalk to safety.
Segara is now in a dangerous game of cat and mousse with a demoness who seems to be able to follow him across planes. As he tries to piece together his broken memories of why he is being hunted and gather the power needed to best her.
What pets would characters have?? Which pets would they absolutely NOT want?? :D
Marcel is very much an animal person and would love to have a big show dog like a collie as well as a few cats, he is particularly fond of black cats and their big personalities.
Mollycap would keep rats.
Angelique would be a horse girl having this big beautiful black stallion she would race.
Serrabeth would have a parrot she has taught how to curse like a sailor.
Dillon wants something soft and chill, like a chinchilla.
Niphorbis is 100% a cat day who spoils his old orange tabby.
Segara would keep koi in a well keept koi pond.
Nivel is not much of an animal person, but I could see him keeping butterflies in a big green houses.
Baba Yule has a pet, a black squirrel that somehow jumps planes with her. The squirrels name is Duchess Deathsqueak.
Hello Anon first of all I would like to say I am sorry for taking so long to respond to this! I typically like to respond this this asks on the weekend as it give the asker the best chance to see the ask, but I have been very busy.
But anyway onto my feral mushroom!
Mollycap is a saproling that became a thallid, by adsorbing the spark of a llanowar elf during the war of the spark. This process did not exactly create the most well put together being.
She is basically a four foot tall puffball mushroom with a big ol mushroom cap on top, like a witches hat.
She dose not have legs per say but lots of little pseudopods around the bottom of her very round body what she wobbles around on. She dose not have the best mobility so she has this poorly repaired wooden staff staff she uses to help get around.
On he round body are three more of those pseudopods with little grabby bits on the ends of them. A larger one on the right side that typically holds the staff, and two much smaller ones on the left side.
There is is deep V like cut on her body just under the mushroom cap with fugal like fuzz around it. It that darkness of that cut is a red eye like dot that darts around. This "eye" seems to vanish though when the mushroom cap unhinges backwards reviling that the "neck" of Mollycap's is actually a gapping maw full of teeth.
Mollycap is a collector and is covered in bits of string and fabric, from which dangle things that have caught her eyes. Such as a broken golgari signet, the keys to the parhelion, and the skull of the eternal who killed her creator.

I could see Marcel being a child of Apollo, born from one of his many lovers that turned into planes. Warm, beautiful and incline to many artistic talents Marcel embraces the lesser know aspects of Apollo as a god of medicine, healing and plagues.
Many might think I would chose a greek night god like Nyx for Niphorbis but I think Thoth is a more fitting parent for my old sphinx. For Thoth was a moon deity who become a deity of knowledge and scribes, very similar to Niphorbis.
I could see Mollycap being one of the monstrous chidden of Loki, as Molly can be a pain in the ass to a number of people and has a apatite to match her fathers.
Nivel is the offspring of a Hindu Goddess know as Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. All of which are strong aspects of Nivel's personality.
I think Durga is a good choice for mother goddess for Segara and Shani.
Serrabeth is a child of Mercury who among his is the god of travelers and Serrabeth is full of wanderlust even into her old age.
For Dillon could it be anyone other then Morpheus?
I know it sound wired but I could see Persephone being the mother of Baba Yule as like the goddess, Baba is trapped between the aspects of the living world and the spirits of the world beyond.
Shepherd's father in none other then Dionysus as the good of self indulgence and celebrations was a major influence on the hedonistic ram with a heart of gold.

Oh Anon, sweet Anon you know not the rabbit hole you have just embarked down. Because, in my overzealous world build I have in fact created holidays for a few of my fan planes.... and I am more then happy to talk about them!!!
For Marcel's home plane of Floramore there are two note worthy celebrations.
The first being the Fey Queens Fest, a glorious celebration of the coming of spring and everything it brings with it life, beauty and new love. Villages across the rolling hills and enchanted forest come alive with activity as they are coved in colorful garland and floral decorations. With a few of the more well off villages creating flower effigies of local fey. The community come together to create a large banquet made up of local dishes that house contributed to, laid across tables pulled from those very houses.
A young maiden will be chosen to be the Fey Queen of the Fest, she will blest the local fields for a coming year and leave out gifts for the local fey who will be awaking from their long winter slumber. Then comes the next few day of enjoying the fruits of last years labor, feasting, drinking and dancing until the dawn. With circuses, bards and mummers traveling from village to village to work the festivities. This is also a celebration of love new and old, weddings and renewal of vows are often performed during the Fest, with young lovers sneaking love letter to one another hidden in flower crowns.
The aristocracy tend to celebrate a bit differently then the common folk, with elaborate garden parties to show off their exotic greenhouses and well pruned hedges. They also throw the Grand Queen's Tourney, this grand event of all this chivalric and knightly draws in chevalier from all over the land. The Tourney is always dedicated to the wife of the Emperor and the royal couple will often attend.
This is also Marcel's favorite holiday.
The second most important holiday on Floramore is the Hearth Lord's Eve.
This is a very different celebration held in the grip of Floramore harsh winters. It is a time to come together with friends and family and chase away the negative emotions that have gather like the falling snow. Small humble gathering dotted across the village, warm glasses of mulled wine, joyful carols, logs stuffed with fragrant herbs upon the fire, and the exchanging of humble gifts. It is a time for family, a time for friends, a time for remined who are the most important people in our lives.
The aristocrats sadly have made a complete mockery of this holiday. Decorating the halls of their villas in tinsel, garland and glittering ornaments as they throw grand feasts and dances. Dukes and Lords trying to one up one another with even more elaborate gifts, as they drink their time away safe from the howling cold outside their warm halls. The only thing that keep the grumbling of the peasants to a minimum is that this is also the time of year that the local lords give generous gifts to local villages.
Being born a peasant and spending his early Lord's Eve with his mother, Marcel never quite felt conferrable with the overwrought celebrations of the nobility he attended.
Golgarthum is another one of my planes with a well defined holiday, The Feast of the Beast!
In the planes past the Feast of the Beast was an attempt to appease Glorrot the wurm who always eats, the ever starving one, the unyielding maw. Hunters, gathers and cooks from all over would gather as much food as they could hoping to appease Glorrot so he would stop attacking their homes. It never worked.
But even after the wurm was chased deep into the bowls of Golgarthum the gathering did not stop. Eventually it evolved into a massive cooking commotion with coming from all over to demonstrate their skills and talents, to win fame and prizes.
This year though the prize is truly something special, the thousand year fruit. Who's taste is said to be so indescribable as to ignite a spark, or so the legend goes.
Mollycap is going to be attending this years Feast of the Beast.
So I was going to make up some holiday that Niphorbis uses to attend in Theros past but then I learned about Theros - The Meletian Calendar..... which has information on 27 annual festivals and events.... I really want to know all about that please.
Shepheard come from Innastrad past, before Avacyn and her church when the old ways where still alive and well. So he has strong memories of the Harvesttide, a warm hand in his as he dances until dawn. Having his first kiss under the burning effigy of a werewolf.
Dillon loves holidays of all kind from any plane, they fill people dreams with such joy and wonder.
Baba Yule often gather with other witches from Eldraine to Floramore on nights when the moon is missing and dark forces are most potent to participate in their profaning gatherings.
Sagara has enjoyed learning and participating in a number of holidays across the plane, one he practically enjoyed was the Festival of the Guildpact. Seeing the a plane as mired in strife as Ravnica taking one day to celebrate in peace was quite something to see.
While Shani dose not get away from Jungala very often Sagara dragged him to a plane called Dominaria to see something called the Festival of the Arena. The panther was quite enamored with this magical contest of dueling skills that he has come back each year to watch the festivities.
Nivel is very fond of Kaladesh and even attended the Inventors Fairs, he was quite inspired with the pure displays of creativity. Though he bailed when shit hit the fan.
Being a old walker who as traveled across many different seas she has participated in many different calibrations, one of her favorites used to be held on the plane of Loch'tamor. A celebration of a sea goddess and her wedding to the man in the moon, it was awfully romantic and the boozes was really good. Sadly that kingdom that held this celebrations did not survive the awaking of the elder dragons.

Marcel has many closes relationships in his life, as he genially enjoys the company of other even if he is rather shy.
One of the closes he had was with his lord & liege Duke Lyle Calcul, who was like the father Marcel never had. Sadly that relationship has soured on the vine, after the night that saw Marcel's spark igniting.
That night also led to the spread of rumors that made Marcel quite the pariah on Floramore. Leading to most of his relationships on the plane ending or becoming deeply strained.
Though he has built new friendships on other planes, one of them being a high ranking vampire among the orzhov syndicate. Eliza Pellastarva, who is highly interested in Marcel research into a cure for vampirisms. While their relationship started off strictly business the two have grown warmer to one another.
He also has a few friends from his time teaching at Strixhaven, and is very good friend with @im-your-paladin oc Mathias. Who helped quite a bit in drawing Marcel out of his shell.
Recently Marcel has been getting very close to @thetalesofthereneverwood so we will see how things go on that front.
Niphorbis, poor Niphorbis has outlived every person he has ever had the privilege of calling friend, and has watch the children of his children's children grow old before his eyes. He is a very lonely old man with the fading memory of past loved ones to keep him company.
Nivel is a social butterfly like Marcel but without the crippling shyness, so he got quite a few friends. Some of them are old band mates from Strixhaven that he like to keep in touch with.
One of his closes friends though his Nigella, a alchemist from Hyverat. Who is helping Nivel on a top secret project.
Nivel might also have a crush on the captain of the guard a handsome minotaur name Alexi, who is twice the six of the six three half orc.
Mollycap being so young has only one person she would call friend. An beetle woman from Golgarthum, named Scuttle. Scuttle took Molly in after her first planes walk, and shared with her, her love of cooking.
Molly also has her many saporling pets. Many.... many saporlings.

Like Niphorbis Shepherd has outlived more friends and lovers then he can possibly remember. But unlike Niphorbis who is weighed down by their memory, the memory of Shepherd's loved ones burn bright in his driving him to make new friends and take new lovers.
An every once in a blue moon one of his beloved gives him the greatest gift of all, a child. Currently Shepard has two sons on different planes, Tyver is a first year Silverquill and Anun is a new born on the plane of Amonkhet.
Serrabeth has a lager family back on her home plane of Crusabella, mother to seven, grandmother of twelve and great grandmother to four.
She married a simple hardworking man name Geovanni, who she spent many happy years with. And who passing left a hole in her life that she just can't seem to fill.
In the past when the land was bathed in sunlight Baba Yule had many friend among the younger races of Lorwyn. She fondly remembers a old kithkin grandmother he thought her to make baklava.
Now Baba is keep company by the spirits of those who have sought out her help. One of them she calls her granddaughter the spirts of a farm girl from Innistrad, named Lesly. Who has stayed with Baba even after she had released her spirit from her contract.
She also has a squirrel familiar named "Her Majesty Lady Black Dread".
Sagara duty to his people dose not leave much time for personal relationships of any kind. Though he dose treasure the relationship he has with his brother Shani and his family.
Shani has two wives and a husband . Between them the have raised three beautiful chidden who are Shani pride and joy. the Kahn of Havaparvac is also the beast tamer of the colosseum and take great care of the chimeras he trains in the cities defense. And while he dose bicker with his brother to no end, Sagara is family and that is important to him.
Dillon has many friends who will not remember him when the sun comes up.
