Wyatt Russell as Colonel Lee Shaw Monarch: Legacy of Monsters - "Resonance"
Kurt and Wyatt have heavily implied that their two versions of Lee interact this season.
So I have a theory… my discord friends have heard this already but humor me, some of this is part of that original rant which is either really good or terribly awful.
In the trailer we see young Lee Shaw in the orange jumpsuit from Operation Hourglass in 1962 and in some of the shots it looks like he has an earpiece on and a backpack. I don’t know necessarily what that means, but is it possible that through some kind of technology connection they’re able to speak to each other? Lee from the past and Lee from the present.
And if they do… what is the chance that future Lee doesn’t tell past Lee that Keiko is down there?
Because young Lee didn’t know she was there. He thought she was dead. He was just trying to get out of Axis Mundi alive. So what if present day Lee tells him? What if he’s not supposed to… but does anyway?
There are a few things that really make me lean into this theory in the episodes this season, even though it would create a total timeline mind fuck.
First, Keiko’s letter to Lee.
She says: “In another lifetime, in another world, this could have been about us. Maybe in the next lifetime we will find each other again.”
That just screams foreshadowing to me.
So if that’s the case… are they setting up the spinoff show? Is she going to be in it? Are they going to end up together in 1982-85? Are we eventually going to see a 2017 version of Lee and an older KEIKO who actually lived their lives together?
Second, this clip from his recent interview:
“The person” that he’s teasing being in it… is it Keiko?
And honestly, so far in this season there has been a lot of things about the past, wishing things could be changed and what not. That could all be easily explained because it does take place in both timelines and then we also have all these characters suffering the pain and consequences of time and actions.
So, who knows 🤷🏻♀️
Another option is older Lee does talk to younger Lee but doesn’t tell him because Keiko begs him not to. Because if he did then the Lee back there would try to save her and maybe that would change the timeline in a bad way? Like even though she’d want to save Hiroshi, she wouldn’t want to do something that would keep Cate or Kentaro from being born… 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I’m just a crazy lady with a cold spitting theories… sorry. I’ll probably update this if there’s anything in the next few episodes that I feel support it.
I want to Alonso Quijana myself
