Dark Academic summer:
Spend afternoons reclining on your porch with War and Peace and a glass of lemonade, reading until the sun sets
Going on a trip to a historical city and visiting all its museums, galleries, and monuments
Keeping in touch with friends from school with long letters, enclosing little gifts or drawings and sealing them with wax
In the evenings, playing Chopin Nocturnes on a piano with the windows open, letting in warm air and crickets’ chirping, letting out music for passerby
Savoring the ability to study freely, without caffeine consumption or impending deadlines; slowly filling notebooks with pages and pages of notes from rabbit-holes
Taking strolls on warm, starry nights
Having picnics and picking the bright, springy wildflowers
Aiming to finish reading one long novel before school starts again — Les Misérables, David Copperfield, Anna Karenina, The Tale of Genji
