7. A film you wish had a sequel?
maybe like an inception 2 IDK lol
9. The most aesthetically pleasing movie you’ve ever watched?
HER, I want to live in the cinematography of that movie. also lost in translation but it kind of inspired Her the movie so.
i have yet to find a portrayal of a slav without an exaggerated accent who isnt a criminal tbh?? and it hurts to think that people literally see us this way through the movie/show portrayal?? like when hostel came out in 2006, there were SWARMS of western tourists in bratislava who were /extremely/ disappointed because they expected to see all the guts and blood and kids gangs and murderers w chainsaws and shit.
MAN that exaggerated accent. that’s what people sound like when they are beginning to speak a language. it gets smoothed out as you get used to it. you’re still left with a slight slavic accent but it’s so minor like it’s not even comparable to the one we hear on tv (example of said slight accent).
that stereotype is so wide-spread it was pound to pass from tv to reality and it pissed me off bc some people do genuinely think we are intellectually inferior.
man I’d love to see a slavic character who’s outside of that ridiculous trope. idk what’s so hard to grasp about the fact that 99% of slavs are neither dense nor culprits.
cant really pinpoint the genre (mystery/horror/thriller/drama-esque) but black swan was pretty intense and it really got under my skin
thank you love <3
