I’m sleepy, I’m tired and I’m out of ideas. Hello, and welcome to another regular day from my side.
Tomorrow ends February, and I still have not heard the album of Mono Mind. Well I haven’t even heard “Small Town Talk”, but well, we’ll see how this can work. No big deal.
But I do miss Marie now a days. No, I’m not listening to Roxette or Marie - but whenever I see her picture, I have this urge to know how she’s doing - although I’m sure she’s doing well!
Happens to not just me, but to every Roxette fan.
That Charm, that charisma - the woman is legend!

Bye Feb!
I’m tired, I’m sleepy and I have no idea what to write tonight! So, just another regular routine day!
Whaattssssssuuupppppp?
(I’m losing it, I’m definitely losing it)
Well, I only have a lot of German words going in my head, but I’m unable to know how to put them together or what they even mean. It’s crazy, isn’t it?
So, February is ending without its 29, 30 and 31. Did I listen to Mono Mind? No! I didn’t! I actually don’t have time for that. And it’s not completely about setting priorities - I really don’t have a lot of free time now a days. Me writing here is a big miracle till now!
Per, now a days, is a little more active with Roxette - sharing links of old songs and demos. Information on these songs are always welcome, of course!
But Roxette is a retired band and Facebook is very much out from the social media market. How can we know if it’s still famous when it’s big fans are not as interested as before for obvious reasons. Or Mono Mind is not for the Roxette fan taste.
So, I think I need to say “Auf Wiedersehen”.

The Weekend Pile-Up
In the last 4-5 months, I think I have piled up so much for the weekends that I end up doing nothing. On weekends, I have lesser time than weekdays but well - laziness exists whatsoever.
Now I have some Mono Mind for the weekend, some accidental stuff TDR found Regarding Good Karma, RXB’s article on Per, detailed replies of emails/messages and hundreds of other things which require patience and mind usage.
In the last 4-5 months, I have heard so much music, that there were so many songs which made me think of Roxette or what I could relate to Roxette over here. But something today happened, and it’s fresh, so let’s just write here, shall we?
In the morning today, I had to take my mother somewhere. My iPod was just playing in an order, and it reached the letter “Y” and the song “You can’t do this to me anymore” popped up. Meanwhile I was thinking like usual on how this song sounds like a Pet Shop Boys Song and something Hits like Heart’s song “there’s the girl” when my mum suddenly said “ROXETTE??”. I said “yes, it’s from their new album, so that’s why you’ve not heard of it much”. My mum now says “Roxette is rapping now?” - and I realised, yes, Per is technically rapping, and it doesn’t fit much. I mean I find this song nice, but the rapping thing is more PSB than hip-hop, so, it’s acceptable.
Anyway, this story has no end, and it’s not interesting, but well - at least it happened. And i shared it before piling it up for the weekend.

Gessle Turns 60
Finally the big day is here: Per Gessle of Sweden has turned 60.
TDR and RXB have celebrated the big day but countdowns, special editions, Mono Mind Updates and lots of best wishes.
The fans; they love the man - there were wishes on his and a Roxette’s Facebook page all over. Custom made “lalalove” birthday photos to let Per know that his art style is highly appreciated all over.
The guy is an absolute inspiration. And officially announcing that Per is behind Mono Mind is an official welcome to a new tab in all the official websites. Per Gessle’s enormous contributions to music is at times highly underrated by the international musical scene because he’s “too experienced” now.
Mono Mind is the music which can attract this generation. Roxette fans are too old school for these innovative melodies - but his musical legacy will always remain a part of their heartbeats.
We know more about Per in his career - and what a brilliant career? Isn’t it? It must be hard, but his achievements are the ones which one wants to have when he/she turns 60. And when you slip a little towards his personality - it’s definitely the kind you want to have as well - smart and do whatever makes you happy!
Per Gessle is the guy who you really won’t be shy to call your ideal - because that is what has has proved to be.
So, it seems that Christmas, New Year and Per Gessle’s Birthday celebrations are over and we’re gonna get back to our regular routines!
Happy Birthday Per! 60 years of Brilliance.

Mainly in the 90s
The question which popped up in my mind yesterday was: will there be a #GT40 this year or not? And a while back, I saw this same question in a Facebook group. Hmmm....
I mean, there is so much Mono Mind, is there room for Gyllene Tider?
Anyway, this week, I’m listening to this list which says it had the top 250 songs from the 90s. Till now, the songs really do define how the music was back then, and honestly - I’m having a really good time!
And the concept of “one hit wonders” is so much there. And it’s so nice.
Are there one hit wonders now a days? Because all I can hear is Drake Drake Drake Drake Drake Drake.... Grrr.....
I guess there isn’t any song by Roxette there - and come to think of it, Roxette is associated more with the 80s, although they made more music in the 90s, and 50% of their #1 achievements were also in the 90s.
Crazy, isn’t it?

Helena, MP & Per
So, Per shared a photo in which MP, Helena and Him are together. This obviously means something is cooking. Is it Mono Mind? Is it Gyllene Tider? Is it demo session at T&A in Halmstad? Or just simple regular “fika”?
And suppose it IS Gyllene Tider activity; is Helena gonna be a Part of it?
I know it’s wrong to think this way, and I most definitely know it is all in my head, but I still feel like sharing...
Marie Fredriksson participated in Gyllene Tider musical activities back in the early 80s. Did GT fans back then minded this woman suddenly becoming too prominent in their music? Later Per and Marie happen to become the sensation which was to be called “Roxette”. And don’t we just love it when Marie sings some Gyllene Tider song?
Per and Helena have been working together for what... 17-18 years now? She’s is all over in every project, why is it not the same?
Per and Helena (and Clarence and Christoffer) are now Mono Mind - she is definitely not the new Marie, she is her own style, but why is it so hard even after so many years? Her singing Roxette songs are still criticised and....
It’s not the same. It’s not the same and yet....

Mono Mind..... Everywhere!
I have not heard Mono Mind - and what I heard before in the form of singles was forced and confused. But since I have not heard it, I can’t comment, and if I can’t comment, I can’t write anything tonight.
And from the looks of it, there may come many nights, when I’d prefer sleeping instead of brainstorming for a topic here.
I want to support, but somehow, I’d feel fake.
