The Busy 8th

One after another, when RXB shared the achievements and anniversaries of Roxette today, it made me smile. Oh what a wonder Roxette has been.

And then you see that TDR was equally excited about those anniversaries. It felt great.

Later I felt empty, but well, I’m a human and I can always be wrong!

So, how it all happened? It happened with a woman having a Look! Ohhhh!

- 30 years since “The Look” topped the US Billboards by getting the #1 position! Herzlichen Glückwunsch! I loved how TDR added the Jonas riffs - they’re the ones who miss him the most! Yep?

- Then it was probably the best gift Marie Dimberg could probably ever get on her birthday in 1989. Roxette’s Manager please? She’s been that source of good luck since Roxette came into being.

- And a little goobye with this date: Roxette released “it just happens” from the last studio album “Good Karma”.

If we look back, there is a chance that Per and Marie even met for the first time on this date, this is how glorious it suddenly feels like. No one knows or remembers that I guess!

So, the magical 8th of April!

The emotional experience of reading RXB

Roxette is over, and it was a bad jerk to the heart.

Gyllene Tider is to say goodbye and somehow, it has stunned me a little bit more. All the memories, experiences, youth - it’s going!

It will be gone!

What is Per going through? First Roxette and now officially Gyllene Tider’s last project?

I mean, the dates were released on the 31st of January, but reading comments of the boys just makes things a bit too sad.

I feel like a whole chunk of my life is over when it barely took its pace. What about them who have followed this music all their lives? Or are they old enough to understand it better? Of course! Everyone moves on! But...?

Micke Syd is great btw, and adorable! Still my favourite, and him beating drums to GT beats this year, together to say goodbye makes it awfully.... sad.

The boys are ready to do a farewell to all the good which happened to their lives, and it’s brave!

The Weekend Pile-Up

In the last 4-5 months, I think I have piled up so much for the weekends that I end up doing nothing. On weekends, I have lesser time than weekdays but well - laziness exists whatsoever.

Now I have some Mono Mind for the weekend, some accidental stuff TDR found Regarding Good Karma, RXB’s article on Per, detailed replies of emails/messages and hundreds of other things which require patience and mind usage.

In the last 4-5 months, I have heard so much music, that there were so many songs which made me think of Roxette or what I could relate to Roxette over here. But something today happened, and it’s fresh, so let’s just write here, shall we?

In the morning today, I had to take my mother somewhere. My iPod was just playing in an order, and it reached the letter “Y” and the song “You can’t do this to me anymore” popped up. Meanwhile I was thinking like usual on how this song sounds like a Pet Shop Boys Song and something Hits like Heart’s song “there’s the girl” when my mum suddenly said “ROXETTE??”. I said “yes, it’s from their new album, so that’s why you’ve not heard of it much”. My mum now says “Roxette is rapping now?” - and I realised, yes, Per is technically rapping, and it doesn’t fit much. I mean I find this song nice, but the rapping thing is more PSB than hip-hop, so, it’s acceptable.

Anyway, this story has no end, and it’s not interesting, but well - at least it happened. And i shared it before piling it up for the weekend.

Gessle Turns 60

Finally the big day is here: Per Gessle of Sweden has turned 60.

TDR and RXB have celebrated the big day but countdowns, special editions, Mono Mind Updates and lots of best wishes.

The fans; they love the man - there were wishes on his and a Roxette’s Facebook page all over. Custom made “lalalove” birthday photos to let Per know that his art style is highly appreciated all over.

The guy is an absolute inspiration. And officially announcing that Per is behind Mono Mind is an official welcome to a new tab in all the official websites. Per Gessle’s enormous contributions to music is at times highly underrated by the international musical scene because he’s “too experienced” now.

Mono Mind is the music which can attract this generation. Roxette fans are too old school for these innovative melodies - but his musical legacy will always remain a part of their heartbeats.

We know more about Per in his career - and what a brilliant career? Isn’t it? It must be hard, but his achievements are the ones which one wants to have when he/she turns 60. And when you slip a little towards his personality - it’s definitely the kind you want to have as well - smart and do whatever makes you happy!

Per Gessle is the guy who you really won’t be shy to call your ideal - because that is what has has proved to be.

So, it seems that Christmas, New Year and Per Gessle’s Birthday celebrations are over and we’re gonna get back to our regular routines!

Happy Birthday Per! 60 years of Brilliance.

1001 Nights without Marie

Kirsten Ohlwein aka Kiwein has left the RoxetteBlog. But then out of the blue, when you see her article on that platform, you absolutely get stunned - because you know there is going to be an emotional rush:

She wrote this article on how Marie is missed by her - and voiced the feelings of thousands of others who missed Marie. Calculating the days since Roxetre’s retirement, she found out that on Per’s 60th birthday, 1000 days have passed.

The selections of words, the ups and downs - the breaks to make you relive that oh damn, what just happened?

Here and there, I saw parts from this article quoted in other fan’s Facebook profile. She has a talent, doesn’t she?

In this article, she has managed to remember the Marie aura, the intimacy and the power of the impression which just creeps in. I didn’t cry, no - but my emotions really did get a push. I loved the way how she has described the importance over all in her Life - thanks to Marie.

And things which I’m sure are new to many! Yes, Per Gessle seems slightly more sober over the years - he’s still funny, but grace is popping up! His answers are calculated and pleasant to read. Some can even make you smile - What a great guy! Points like: -  Gyllene Tider is a fantastic little band. -  I wanted to be an architect when I was little. But then I heard Get It On from T. Rex. - I like cleaning. -  I love when girls sing my songs. There is some sort of feminine fragility in many of my songs that comes out so well then. -  I have since then noticed that all performers, artists, actors and sportsmen/women I like, strangely enough, are very ordinary people. -  Goosebumps are lovely. Per loves cleaning? I didn’t know that. Did you? And being God for a day, he’d clean! Awesome! 6. You are the idol of many, but who is yours? – My wife! .... Cute Interview

And guess what? Mr. Magnus is making a nice little wandering in Vienna and checking out places related to Mozart, because Vienna is awesome!

Yes, Vienna would be nicely Gessle-ed this evening and I’m sure they’re gonna be goin home signing “dressed for success”.

At the moment, I can give a better comment on the music of Bryan Adams and Michael Jackson, but some observations which I’d share some other day! So, what about tonight? Yes - a cute little interview which tells a few more nice stuff about Per.

Stop this Hatred!

Woahhhhh!!! I observe very less now, and I really try to avoid reading comments but WOAAAHHH!!! There is so much heat in the world of Roxette which has made TDR publish a long article on their Facebook page, and then later it was posted by RXB on their official Facebook page as well.  https://www.facebook.com/RoxetteBlog/posts/10155605636515178 Kai-Uwe, I’m gonna stand up for you in respect!  But unfortunately, I read a few comments below on that TDR post, and it didn’t turn out to be that cool for a few either!  WHYYY!!! Then last night, another guy (Johan Breytenbach) made a big post on Roxette Official page of Facebook: Stop this war. I don’t know how to share the link here, but I so want to.... It is also there is the comments of the TDR post, so you can check it out if you’re interested.  Yes, Roxette has gotten less music and more politics recently, and it sucks! SO many brilliant fans don’t give their feedback much because there is gonna be a negative attack from a whole bunch!  It’s crazy! But seriously, just.... OK?  Love and Peace 16/10/2018
