Decided to make a Grimm-specific blog to post all of my Grimm dumping outside my main blog. (@green5quirrel)
What I'll be posting:
Fanfiction
Random GIFs
Fan theories and musings
Maybe some art?
Other Grimm-related stuff, I guess.
Inbox questions.
This isn't a roleplay blog. I already have one of those I'm completely inactive on and ignore! (@blutbad-daddy)
Inbox Etiquette:
Be kind.
Requests will be considered, but not in an organized or timely manner.
Be patient.
Requests
If you like my writing, I can certainly try my hand at fulfilling some prompts or requests.
I'm a Monroe fanatic so mention him and it's far more likely I'll want to write it!
Mention him as a whumped person in a hurt/comfort scenario and you're cookin' with oil!
I've paired him with Rosalee and Hank before but pairings are not required for me to write about this ridiculously adorable man.
Just ask me questions about Monroe. Request Monroe. It's Monroe. Will they fulfill this request or answer my inbox question? Does it have Monroe in it? Then yes.
This Blog Loves and Respects Juliette.
This Blog Loves and Respects Adalind.
This Blog Loves and Respects Eve.
Nickroe where one of them has an abusive relationship in their past. Could be very recent, not long before they met or a good while back. Maybe the person turned back up out of the blue or they just stumble over old emotional baggage trying something new in bed. Could also be helping to heal the wounds shortly after the break-up/escape. Just think patience, tenderness and trying so hard to make the other person feel safe and loved.
Notice: Accidentally posted this without editing it first. This post is the one to reblog, if wanted.

"I'm sorry, man."
"No, no. It's okay. I...that was inappropriate. I went too far. It was--I was being... I shouldn't have said that." Nick placed his hand on Monroe's shoulder softly, noticing the man tensing for a moment before relaxing at the sensation.
Nick swallowed a guilty lump in his throat as he rubbed the shoulder before removing his hand and sitting next to him on the side of the bed where the clocksmith had settled after bolting upright with a look of panic.
Monroe, beside him, pursed his lips as he closed his eyes and sighed.
"It wasn't--it wasn't inappropriate," he finally said, his voice a little low. "I just...aaaaaaah..."
The long sigh developed into a near growl as he opened his eyes and looked toward the ceiling. On the floor his ankles twisted around each other and his bare feet flexed and clinched.
Both him and Nick were dressed only in their underwear. They were getting very close to being in even less until this...thing happened. Until Monroe choked and scooched back as if suddenly disgusted or frightened. Until Nick's face showed surprise and then regret.
"I shouldn't have asked you to woge for me," Nick said softly. "That was stupid. And a Grimm asking it? Of course you were scared. I won't-I won't do it again."
"That's not--" Monroe scoffed. "That's not why I reacted...it should've been hot!"
The Blutbad gripped the edge of the mattress while gritting his teeth.
"The way you said it," he continued, "the growl? Gawd, that should've been so fucking hot. And there's something, guh, there's something so damn sexy when your eyes...when I woge during sex and I see your eyes...augh. It used to terrify me, but...damn."
Nick smirked despite himself. "Really?"
"Yeah, really!" Monroe said, eyebrows raised pointedly. He chuckled at how shyly pleased the detective looked. It was endearing.
"No, man," he continued, "this is my shit. And I'm so sorry you're having to deal with it. Dammit." Monroe sighed again and rubbed his head then his neck. "I-I-I didn't think I still...ugh!"
Monroe seemed to have exhausted his words, which was a pretty big deal for the loquacious clockmaker.
Nick watched his partner's form slouch into himself. He appreciated the softness of Monroe's body in this form of repose. In contrast to the sharp lines of his Blutbad transformation, his human form was as cozy as the cardigans he wore.
Monroe's finely furred human body revealed itself in a soft stomach over a strong core. His broad, freckled shoulders were round, muscles long and lean underneath the softness. He was gracefully long-limbed while being enticingly comfortable.
Nick's dark blue eyes tracked Monroe's face until his brown ones glanced up at him again, perhaps checking if Nick was still beside him. Nick smiled softly when their eyes met, causing Monroe to mirror the expression, though subtler.
"Do you wanna...talk about it?" Nick asked. The detective admitted he wasn't exactly good at these sorts of conversations. Then again, neither was Monroe.
Monroe expelled another breath with a grunt. He rubbed his face briskly. He sniffed and nodded.
"Yeah-yeah. I should, I should," he said.
"You don't have to. This can-um-this can be a boundary. And you don't have to tell--"
"No-I-this is good. I need to--uh--it will be good to talk about it," Monroe said. "Ah...can we maybe sit down with a drink for it, though? I haven't thought about this in years. I seriously didn't think it would ever come up again. So, can we...uh...this might take a while to...explain."
"Sure! Yeah! No problem!" Nick easily agreed.
Several minutes later they were outside in the backyard of Monroe's house. He had a porch swing there which Nick didn't even know existed. Then again, rarely had they been in the backyard. There had been no reason before now.
Monroe rubbed his thumb over the condensation on the surface of the beer he held. He'd already taken a couple of swigs. It was a high gravity beer, so it was starting to take the smallest of edges off of his anxiety. He swallowed and glanced up at Nick, who sat beside him watching the sunset's bright colors in the sky above them.
"Um," Monroe started. Nick looked at him in response to the utterance. His eyes were soft and patient. Monroe took a breath.
"So," the Blutbad continued, "back before I met...the Lassers..." And that caused him pause for another trauma he shifted aside in his brain. He continued, "Before I met them, I was still trying to find out who I was. I was, um, nineteen? Maybe twenty? Not too far out of highschool. Before college. And I met this guy."
Monroe took another drink and subconsciously started moving the swing back and forth with his foot to the ground. Nick sat back and attuned to Monroe's rhythm.
"Uh, he was kehrseite-schlich-kennen. Born from a Blutbad family--"
"Wait," Nick interrupted. "Wait, that's possible? To be kehrseiten but biologically, like, from Wesen parents?"
"Yep!" Monroe said. He took another drink. "You know, it's kind of like-like a recessive gene. Not very common. This guy had three other siblings, all Blutbaden. But he wasn't. And that...was a big part of the problem, honestly."
"Huh." Nick's brows knitted in a way Monroe usually found adorable, but his curious nature was feeling a bit intrusive and off-topic now, and the man's mouth was open as if he was going to ask more about it. So, Monroe was quick to barrel on.
"Anyway!" he continued. "His name was Peter. And he was a good person down deep. I really do think that. I still think that. But back in those days he was really angry. I never knew how angry until we started being intimate with each other. And it...didn't go well. Why I didn't leave after the first time...I...I guess I never really felt Blutbad enough for my family. I asked too many questions. I...wasn't as good at hunting. I didn't care about it. Petey seemed to get that. Being different from his family.
"The thing I didn't know about Petey was that he was jealous," Monroe said.
"Jealous...of his family for being Blutbad when he wasn't?" Nick asked.
"Yeah." Monroe nodded and smacked his lips to another gulp of beer. "And the reason he was with me, I realized after everything, was that he thought being with someone who was Blutbad would give him some sort of...validation. But what he realized was it made him feel even more inadequate. And so...he took it out on me."
Despite his best efforts, Monroe's voice shook a little in those last few words.
"Monroe..." Nick said his name after a few moments of silence. As he reached out to his arm, Monroe twitched out of the way of the touch and got up while shaking his empty bottle.
"I need another beer. You want another beer?" Monroe asked, voice low and gulpy. He sniffed as he stood in front of Nick who jostled with the sudden imbalance of the porch swing bench.
"You don't have to talk about this," Nick reminded him.
"No, I'm good-I'm good. I just...I need-uh-you know, some more alcohol. Um...I think I have some scotch? Do you want...?"
"I'm good with the beer," Nick said as he held up the half-drunk bottle.
Monroe nodded. "Yeah, sticking with beer is probably good. I'll be right back."
Nick sighed when Monroe left and let his mind wander into the possibilities of what Monroe was going to say next. When he returned with a new bottle, cracking it open with a palmed bottle opener, he resumed sitting next to Nick. The swing creaked with the abrupt shift in weight.
The porch light flicked on as the sensor picked up the waning light. Monroe's features were shadowed in angles, freckles blown out by the harshness of the bulb's color. But Nick could see a flush on Monroe's eyes and nose. The Blutbad glanced at the detective self-consciously for a moment, and the swing started moving again to Monroe's rhythm.
"You okay?" Nick asked softly.
Monroe started to nod, but aborted the action.
"Um, I really want to get this out," he said tightly. "Then you can ask me that question again?"
"Yeah, okay," Nick said. He put a soft hand to the nape of Monroe's neck. He felt the heat at the base of his skull and slight dampness of his curls.
"Oh, that's not helping!" Monroe joked as he sniffed at the prickles of tears tickling his eyelids. He laughed watery.
Nick chuckled, "Sorry! Sorry!" He brought the hand away with a final rub of his thumb.
"It's okay. Thanks," Monroe said with a nod. "I can't believe I'm getting this emotional over something that happened 20 years ago. Ugh. Okay. So." He took a determined breath.
"Petey yelled at me," Monroe continued. "He would force me to woge during sex. And I was to stay woged the whole time. It was hard because, like, it wasn't a natural woge. It was forced. It hurt more to do it like that. It gave me headaches. But I wanted to do it for him because...uh...I knew he needed it. But I would hurt him while woged and, well, he liked that.
"He was so forceful about everything with sex. He was violent. Like, not the same way Blutbaden are, but the same level? I thought that was what it was supposed to be like for a long time after that. Angelina," he scoffed, "really straightened me out. Uh...no pun intended. Obviously, she didn't do a very good job. At the-at the straight part, that is. Ha!"
"Dude..." Nick shook his head.
"I know! I know! Bad joke. Low hanging," Monroe gestured to them both, "fruit..." He grinned.
"Okay! Okay!" Nick said as he held his hands up in defense of any future puns.
Monroe giggled a little manically.
"Sorry, needed to cut the tension, I think. I'm not good at-uh-talking about stuff like this," he explained.
"I get it," Nick said. He really did.
"Um, so anyway. Petey. He ended up going too far. In the end. In order to even the odds he got into his mom's gardening tools. Got a, uh, cultivator?" Monroe watched confusion flash over Nick's face. "It's the claw thing. To dig into the ground."
"Oh fuck," Nick exclaimed.
"Yeah! Yeah. It's...it was bad. I didn't know he had it until I feel this hot, searing pain in my thigh. He, Petey, he was behind me and just grabbed me with it. He went way too deep. Still have some scars from it, actually. And I was already woged, so I turned around to attack, and he jammed the handle of it into my lower back," Monroe said.
"In that nerve cluster?" Nick responded in shock.
"Oh yeah. And he just kept hitting it until I retracted and I was, Nick, I was crying for him to stop. And he flipped me around and yelled at me to woge again. I said I didn't want to. He said that I was a pussy Blutbaden. And just yelled at me over and over again to woge. Threatened me with the gardening tool. And I did, finally. Cause I felt unsafe and I couldn't...I couldn't really control it," Monroe took a shaky breath.
"And then he, uh, he put his neck by my mouth. He said to just rip out his throat because-because he was so tired of being broken. He wanted me to kill him. He-um-he wanted me to help him die. Because he was worthless," Monroe started to breathe faster and wiped impatiently at the moisture breaking through his eyes.
Nick put a hand on his neck again and felt Monroe lean into it.
"I coul--I couldn't do it," Monroe finally said. "I held myself back because part of me, that deep dark part of me, wanted to end him. And I fought so hard to keep myself from doing that. He was so mad. He was so, so mad. He just started hitting me over and over again. Fist after fist then weaker, then it was just his hands laying on me and him sobbing on top of me."
Monroe sniffed wetly and swallowed. He leaned nearer and nearer to Nick until his head rested on his shoulder.
"I told Petey I was leaving. I had retracted by that point and slipped out from under him. He didn't answer. He had been sobbing before but now he was just...quiet. Like catatonic almost. I di--I didn't know what that meant, but it was way scarier than when he was yelling. So I took the cultivator from him and took it home with me. And we never talked after that night," Monroe said.
Nick had wrapped his arm around Monroe as the Blutbad leaned onto his shoulder, his curly hair tickling Nick's cheek. For a moment he sat there with his partner and rubbed his shoulder, leaning his cheek further onto Monroe's head.
"That sounds awful, Monroe," Nick said, finally.
"Yeah," Monroe whispered back. "It wasn't great." He sniffed.
"Did you keep up with Petey after that? Do you know what happened to him?" Nick asked.
Monroe's head shook, he didn't know.
"He didn't kill himself or anything," he said brusquely. "I know that much. I thought he would, actually."
"Yeah." Nick's voice was low and gentle. "Kinda thought that myself after the story."
Monroe nodded wordlessly as his eyes continued to water and spill over as his head sat heavily on Nick.
At some point, Nick's foot had begun to guide the rhythm of the swing as opposed to Monroe's. He kept the steady movement happening for a time.
"What if..." Nick said with some trepidation. "What if, instead of saying something like 'Woge for me!' next time I say, uh, 'Show me who you really are' or something like that? 'Lemme see those sexy red eyes!' uh 'I wanna hear you roar' or, shit, that's--"
Monroe started laughing suddenly, uncontrollably.
"Like that so--" the clocksmith managed to choke out before Nick finished the thought.
"--that song! Yeah! Katy Perry! Dammit!" Nick exclaimed with embarrassment.
"It's a--it's a good song!" Monroe laughed.
"I'm not going to sing Katy Perry to you before sex!"
"Aww," Monroe said with a put-on pout. He took a deep breath after the release he felt with laughing. "You really think my red eyes are sexy?"
"As sexy as you, apparently, find my scary eternal darkness ones," Nick said.
Monroe lifted his head a little and angled his face toward Nick flashing his eyes red with a grin. At Nick's reaction, he "Hmm"-ed, interested.
"You...wanna try again?" Monroe asked.
"You sure?" Nick asked, surprised.
"Yeah, I'm sure," Monroe said. "Besides, I wanna see how those new lines go. Kinda into the the red eyes one." He raised in brows.
Nick smirked. He kissed Monroe deeply, tasting the alcohol on his tongue and appreciating how soft Monroe's larger lips were on his.
"Okay."
***
Back in bed and tangled in sheets the two were breathing softly, Nick having pulled Monroe onto his chest afterwards.
"That was good?" Nick murmured into his hair.
"Yeah," Monroe confirmed. "That was really good. I-uh-liked when you kissed my thigh. That was nice."
"You can see the scars more when your woged," Nick commented.
"Yeah, that's because it happened when I was woged, I think. Rosalee knows more about that anatomy biology stuff. And Juliette," Monroe said.
"You think they're a cuter couple than us?" Nick suddenly blurted.
Monroe laughed as his hand trailed up and down Nick's chest. He was about to negate the fact but he sighed.
"Yeah, probably," Monroe said. Nick scoffed. "But, they are also way more bad ass. So, there's that."
Nick opened his mouth to argue but closed it again with some frustration.
"Yeah, they really are," he relented. "You okay?"
Nick felt Monroe's beard scratch against his chest as he nodded.
"I am. Thanks for listening to me," Monroe said.
"Thank you for trusting me," Nick said.
"I love you." Monroe looked up at him through his prominent brows.
"Love you, too, man," Nick said as he kissed Monroe's forehead.
A beat passed as Monroe thought.
"We're totally more adorable," he finally decided.
"We're so fucking cute," Nick agreed. "But they are definitely bigger bad asses."
Grimm AU where the only people who know about Wesen aside from Grimm and kehrseite-schlich-kennen are furries.
Wesen hold furries in extremely high regard and the identity of Wesen are revealed to furries willingly, knowing their intelligence, compassion, and creativity will offer them ultimate protection from humans who would fear them and Grimm who would harm them. There are millennia of respect between the two populations, long before furries called themselves furries!
This is because furries, like Wesen, understand the persecution for who their souls are and showing that soul in public. Additionally, furries have an intense understanding of animalistic/creature identity.
So Wesen will often seek asylum in furry conventions if they feel threatened or have revealed themselves accidentally. Furries will use their creativity and costumery to confuse possibly dangerous actors and protect any Wesen who seek out shelter.
In fact, most kehrseite-schlich-kennen have a connection to the furry community.
Legend has it in the Wesen community that people who share such a strong identity to animals/creatures as furries do possibly have recessive genes of Wesen species. Furries in science fields, specifically biology-type ones, have wondered for years if there is a way to unlock those recessive genes to allow furries to present with the animals/creatures they express themselves as.
Monroe comes down with a rare wesen flu. It's not life threatening in itself, but does leave the sufferer vulnerable. Besides being achy and tired, there's a sort of brain fog/mild delirium that makes him stick close to someone he trusts, kind of like a clingy toddler or a velcro dog, and get anxious if left alone for more than a few minutes. He's either nonverbal or babbling without a filter. Nick and/or Rosalee are in for a very cuddly 3 days to a week before the fever runs it's course.
I feel like every Grimmster has a head cannon about Monroe and Rosalee's triplets; I'm no different!
About Freddie, Jules, and Felix.
(These bios are subject to change. This draft has been written directly into the text box, so most of this is off-the-cuff and rough representations. This is more a practice in defining than an actual definition of who they are. More of an outline, I guess.)
I know, I know. They're all named after dead people. Bear with me because it gets tropier. What can I say, I'm derivative!
None of them are identical, so none of them really look alike. Though Freddie and Felix looked a lot more similar when they were babies, their body types and colorings differentiate them as children and young adults.
Freddie
Nonbinary (They/them)
Named after Rosalee's brother, Freddie is a pretty social person. Though they have a lot of anxieties, they are very good at deflecting them. (Sometimes to their detriment.) They're tall and a little gangly with broad shoulders.
Their hair isn't red, but brassy, a sort of auburn. And, as with all the family, they are very freckly. Their eyes are brown and wide.
In present time, Freddie hasn't started identifying as nonbinary, yet. Or perhaps they are just starting to question it now, being that they would be 8 years old at the time of writing this. But as they grow up, they'll begin to realize several parts of their identity don't align with being one gender.
In respect to their name, they will ultimately decide Fred or Freddie do fit who they are as nicknames, but they change their full name to Winifred. Before making this decision, they will experiment with other names. This will be a lot for Rosalee and Monroe to take in. They are loving and accepting people, but shaking tradition and cultural upbringing will still cause some temporary rifts and conflict.
Ultimately, both of them will be reminded of their own upbringings and how distanced they felt from their families when rigidity was held above acceptance or understanding.
Of the siblings, Freddie takes to clock and watch repair the most. They are the most likely to carry on Monroe's business.
Woge: Freddie's woge happens much later than their siblings. For a while, Monroe and Rosalee consider the possibility that Freddie isn't going to be Wesen. It isn't unheard of. Dominant and Recessive genes for Wesen and non-Wesen exist. They fret about how to handle raising a kehrseite in a Wesen house and fear Freddie feeling left out or disconnected from the rest of the family.
When they are 19, they finally have their first woge as a result of a traumatic situation where they are the only one who can protect their family. Their Wesen form is a dark rusty-color Fuchsbau
Personality: Freddie is a peace-keeper and pacifist. They want everyone to get along. They are very good at communicating and have a drive to help facilitate communication. They are very much a people-pleaser, but also extremely outspoken. They have a very strong value system and though they are mostly a follower, they have a stubborn streak and protective instinct if they're pushed too far. They can also be extremely sassy and argumentative, especially with their sister, who knows all of their buttons and what order to push them.
Jules
Female (She/her)
Jules' name was inspired by Eve's previous identity as Juliette. When choosing her name, both Monroe and Rosalee were very careful to seek consent from both Nick and Eve, expressing how much Juliette's memory meant to them. There was little hesitation to agree to the honoring of Juliette's memory. Though it did give Eve pause and gratitude to know the person she used to be wasn't completely sullied by her Hexenbeist transformation.
Jules is the second tallest of her siblings (Freddie being the tallest). She has the largest body-type as well. Though she is obviously bullied in a society who perceives fatter women as unwanted, she is fiercely stubborn in her confidence for herself. Her family's love, both blood and not, help her to keep that confidence.
She has red hair and more freckles than probably anyone else in her immediate family. Her eyes are hooded and dark green-hazel.
Her soul is that of a hunter and someone of action. She initially wants to work in the police force one day with Nick, though she ultimately becomes disillusioned with law enforcement. She will eventually become a firefighter after waffling between trade school, random stints in construction, and volunteer work.
Woge: Jules woges first of her siblings. She is only 12 at the time. With her dominating personality, an early woge is expected but also nerve-wracking for Monroe and Rosalee. They fear a lack of control. While there are some instances of unsettling outbursts, Jules' support system and a Wesen therapist keep them to a minimum while she learns balance.
Her Wesen form is a tawny-color Blutbad. None were surprised.
Personality: Jules is fiercely protective. The entire family is inherently protective, but Jules expresses this trait the most, even more than her papa.
This trait comes out the most when her siblings are involved. She's big and not afraid to use her physicality to take someone down.
She is also impulsive, which leads her to seem less intelligent, acting from instinct first and thought later. But as she matures, her cleverness develops more substantially; she might not be book smart, but she is quick on her feet and extremely intuitive.
She is also extremely loving. She feels everything very strongly, as most Blutbaden do. Because of the support she has received throughout her life, she is able to express her emotions without shame. She easily follows the steps of Monroe's Wieder lifestyle.
Felix
Male (he/him)
Monroe's Uncle Felix played a huge role in his life as a kid visiting his mother's family in Germany. So, it made all the sense in the world to name one of his children after him.
Felix is the shortest sibling and the smallest. He has thick, dark hair and large brown eyes. In Wesen circles, he's made fun of as the runt of the litter. Jules is quick to correct whoever insults Felix in a very direct manner.
Felix is neurodivergent, diagnosed with Autism at a very young age. As such, he has experienced confusion and bullying from many and has had frustration understanding the world around him in the same ways everyone else seems to do naturally.
As he grows, he will develop a sense of humor about his situation. He will embrace an attitude of self-deprecation in addition to a wicked comedic timing, which will be very beneficial in disarming those around him as a way to control social situations. But it will be an uphill battle until that epiphany occurs. He will rely a lot on his siblings and other members of his family and extended non-blood family to guide him towards managing his overwhelm and panic healthily.
Woge: In every way Felix seems to be different, his woge comes at a completely average time for a male canid Wesen. When he's 16 he woges at a small startle. For the first time in his life, though, he feels in control and not at all overwhelmed. It's the calmest first woge Monroe or Rosalee have ever seen. Felix brushes it off, simply stating, "Oh, so that's what it feels like." He shrugs. "Cool."
Felix's Wesen form is a silver-tone Fuchsbau.
Personality: Felix will often roll his eyes at the fact that he seems to fit the trope of the highly intelligent Autistic person. He's learned to be pragmatic to deal with aspects of the world around him that confuse and overwhelm him. That pragmatism as a tool of social survival has assisted his ability to pick up rote knowledge easier.
Despite what most might assume of someone who eschews unpredictability and the chaos, Felix loves making art more than anything. His favorite medium is paint, though he is very good at digital art as well. He prefers being able to feel the art as he's doing it and is constantly exploring different mediums. Anything tactile in which his hands are stimulated is something he immediately enjoys.
Rosalee believes it's because of investing in art therapy that Felix was so drawn to the practice, but it's possible Felix has always been someone attracted to the idea of creation.
Felix is also a writer. He specifically loves writing fanfiction. He gets very invested in shows, books, and movies. Any fantasy world has the potential to cause hyperfixation.
He's prone to becoming nonverbal or disassociating until his nervous system is able to rebalance itself.
(More will be added about his Autistic tendencies as I learn more about presenting someone who has Autism truly and not pathologizing him. I want his personality to speak first and his Autism to be a part of his identity, but not something that wholly defines him and his actions.)
There will possibly be edits of this or stories that completely negate these bios. This is just to give me a jumping off point to build their personalities and stories.
WTF, did you actually read this whole thing? Damn. Here's a cookie.
