Rosalee finds an old treatise on grimms written by a wesen scholar. They don't mention it to Nick right away because he's out of town and it gives them time to read it first. There's a chapter on mating habits and she and Monroe decide to try courting Nick based on it. Except for the bit about bringing heads as gifts. Ew. No one wants that. But in their enthusiasm, they forget that Nick wasn't raised as a grimm and is clueless about grimm traditions and biology.

Monroe comes down with a rare wesen flu. It's not life threatening in itself, but does leave the sufferer vulnerable. Besides being achy and tired, there's a sort of brain fog/mild delirium that makes him stick close to someone he trusts, kind of like a clingy toddler or a velcro dog, and get anxious if left alone for more than a few minutes. He's either nonverbal or babbling without a filter. Nick and/or Rosalee are in for a very cuddly 3 days to a week before the fever runs it's course.
