Sorry, I apologize if me reaching out over dm is out of pocket, and you are entirely free to ignore-- I just wanted to let you know that there is trans/queer community in WoD, even if it sucks we gotta dig to find our folks. As a fellow trans WoD head (Im younger/came into it within the last decade so admittedly I had a different entrypoint into the wider community) who has strong opinions about Vykos in specific (I could write novels and arguably have been about my own Vykos takes but I dont want to turn this in an exercise in compairing lore notes lmao) its... so goddamn frustrating seeing how one of the few really solid trans characters get put through a wood chipper by STs/artists looking to get a cheap gutpunch--(looking at you, Eternal Hearts x.x) Esp in predominently cis spaces. But I feel like recently theres a good chunk of trans folks making really well throught out/interesting work with the weird collage of lore we got.
Sorry again, this was a ramble. Idk as someone who used to feel very alone on this I just wanted to reach out in hopes itll help you feel less alone.

Hey, thank you for this message, i really appreciate it! And yeah, I 100% agree, Vykos gets absolutely butchered by a lot of cis writers/STs who don’t understand what made them interesting in the first place. I know there is a wonderful community of younger trans WoD folks out there! I'm here to scream into the void tho bc even there, I too often see sanitized takes on complex characters. So, I'm really not here to rain down on anyone's fun, that's why I don't want to take up space in those communities, people should have fun and find meaning in any way that's best for them. I just want to put my anger out there, so people who feel similar frustrations can feel seen, you know? Funnily enough, i don't have a strong opinion on Eternal Hearts, i thought it had some interesting points from a horror perspective - but no one at White Wolf made the mistake of claiming it as canon, so to me it's simply fanfic. "Back in the day", I never encountered anyone even talking about it, so I don't quite get the enormous hang-up people have atm, you know? To me, the whole Dark Ages storyline is way, way more problematic.
