A small wooden casket decorated in the style of a church or tomb in which the remains of a religious icon are placed. This is the only one thought to exist in Scotland. Motifs include Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian influences.
Thanks to 🍸 @servedbysoberon • • • • • ILLUMINATION - 45ml/1.5oz Habitation Velier Monymusk EMB 9yo - 30ml/1oz Gonzalez Byass La Copa Red Vermouth - 10ml/0.33oz Nardini Mandorla Liqueur - 5ml/0.16oz Ediks Pedro Ximenez Mild Vinegar - - - - - HOW: Stir all / Strain in Savage Pony (by @nudeglass x @remy_savage_) / Express & Garnish orange peel. - - - - - I could write eulogies about today's drink. Must be one of the best I've ever created. 💫 At the base is a pure single Rum hailing from the Jamaican Monymusk Distillery 🇯🇲 (And anyone who knows what 'Habitation Velier' rums are about: last year's Monymusk EMB is one of the most highly regarded releases of the brand ever. 🥃 Let me refer to @thelonecaner 's review of July 1). . Combined with the Sherry-based Sweet vermouth of Gonzalez Byass (which is arguably my fav sweet vermouth of the moment 🍷), Nardini's Mandorla (a grappa-based Bitter Almond Liqueur which comes at a whopping 50% 🔥) and to bring balance to the force, an organic Pedro Ximenez Mild (Organic) Vinegar ⚖️. . Drinkstagram, I really wish I could let you taste this. 🙏 If, by any chance, you are able to meet me in the near future, demand me to make this cocktail for you. ❤️ I'm damn proud of it, even while some people would probably shun me for making a cocktail with such a Rum at its base 😬. - - - - - #velier #monymusk #jamaicanrum #rumlover #nudeglass #remysavage #gonzalezbyass #nardini #pedroximenez #glassware #habitationvelier #cocktailsofinstagram #bartenderlove #cocktails🍹$ #theworlds50bestcocktails #tw50bc #50bestcocktails #barflixx https://www.instagram.com/p/CCd8QzgoJKw/?igshid=1uri45ynsuqgv

Monymusk Stone Circle
The remains of a stone circle lie beside a field half a mile to the north of Monymusk village in Aberdeenshire. It is known to some locals as The Druids. Although it may have later been used by the Druids as a spiritual place, it could not have been built by them as they did not appear until some several thousand years later. The Stones are set beside 'Gullie Burn' which got its name when a freak storm in the 1830s caused the Clyans Dam to burst its banks. Water was sent crashing along creating a deep gully along the path of the burn. Some of the standing stones were reputedly washed away down the bank. Today there are three stones remaining surrounded by six large beech trees.
