Hi, call me Lutea. I make cartoons and comics. Both traditional and digital, and all ranging in themes of Sci-fi , fantasy , mystery , noir,
Thought I’d share it here, if you have one be sure to follow me. I’m uploading more of my other comics on there soon. I’m still trying to find a good space for my comics and figured it be good to spread myself as thin as possible .

This was part of a cryptid collab I did here on global comix.
I was going to do the. “No-deer” but eventually the barometz won me over. (Delicious in dungeon played a part in it too, hehe. )They fit perfectly with Oya (my main character in Moonlit lemonade .) because she has a strong sheep theme.
This has two versions to it. The cover for a potential (late azz Halloween) comic I made these with both procreate and affinity designer.
Kofi link to Oya’s new 2025 reference sheet is finished. (For now. I’m satisfied but I can always tweak things later.) and here’s some extra character notes for how she fights, thought they’d be interesting to see. I don’t draw powers and abilities often so it felt good to draw out.
Oya is the main of my comic series: Moonlit lemonade . You can read it for free. Oya’s old reference and general info as well a some of her development history and notes are here.

Android dreams. My entry for on words and pictures comic jam. You can read it here: https://www.wordsnpictures.xyz/r/rk2WSBpSiiyk
Synopsis. Young woman gives free tea samples that may give even androids dreams. Ft. Oya & Camari. An in universe snippet of my comic, Moonlit lemonade, inspired by “do androids dream of electric sheep”. Title taken literally.
Oya is my, as the kids say, most current brainworm to date. So much so that she has a comic series. In story her mama named her after the Yoruba god ( Oya) because she had hoped that her child would embody some aspect of said god. Oya the orisha is such a fascinating god to me and embodies many things: lightning, wind , storms , justice and revenge , the dead, motherhood, ect. (Hopefully I didn’t confuse anyone. Hehe) “Kouyun” is just Turkish for sheep. Which is a tad weird because The goddess is associated with buffalo, but it’s also shows that Oya( the girl with the sheep) is her own distinct person . At least that’s my thought process behind it.
when I see Oya, I think , “soft but stern, complicated, compassionate , and creative.” I wanted to make a character filled with empathy for those around her but keeps works a certain way because she wants to avoid getting hurt again. There is a lot I want to explore with her character because, story wise, she has a foot in two different worlds but never adheres completely to one. I’m sure it’s something we can all relate to at some point, being the “other” in a situation.
Others might but i don’t consider oya a superhero. Not. A traditional one at least. She wears no suit, she shows her face, and she works as a private eye so her fighting crime is a day job. I wanted to make a character with superpowers but her powers aren’t all that rare and her and the others even having them is one of the driving forces of the plot. Namely how humans should not be able to do that, type of thing. She is a black character with electrical powers and - yes I know a lot of people have an issue with their being a lot of black characters with electrical powers but - black military superheros far outnumber them. And I wanted to do something different with it. A sort of subversion, if you will. A way to have my cake and eat it too( also that metaphor never made sense to me. You get cake to eat it, wtf. Anyway-)
electricity powers are cool.
I’ve always thought electric powers were cool and liked how different artists implemented them in their own way. In Moonlit Lemonade, I wanted to make them somewhat common to varying levels of proficiency. I also wanted to make it a potentially DANGEROUS genetic condition if not managed properly that no human can trace and none of them can predict. Call it “Hyper electrosis” in universe.
some folks get somewhat lucky and only effect their electronics from time to time. Some folks spontaneously combust . And some folks get to be discount static shock with a lot of practice . That’s Oya, only she never needs to recharge , she IS the generator. And yes it does get annoying that she puts some technology on the fritz and no she can never stay to close to someone with a pace maker.
On the bright side, she charge her own phone and can travel through wires so transit is always the best price : FREE.
also also, it JUST hit me but she reminds me of the Pokémon, mereep. It wasn’t on purpose.
but that’s the end of my yapping, I hope you guys get a better sense of Oya and maybe you like her a little more as well.

Oya is my current brainworm (as the kids call it). Ive been struggling on and off with my pixel art for years. its been a while since I last drew some and I gotta say, I am happy with my progress. I don't wanna show the previous two i did recently , its a tad embarrassing. hehe. Oya is my main character in my comic, Moonlit lemonade.
I'd like to practice with Pixquare a little more , Id love to animate with it soon.
Side story for one of my secondary characters in moonlit lemonade. Janis shares some of his inner thoughts on life, death, and love in its many forms. Also a small cameo.
You can read my comics early here or read the rest of them on my sites:
I'm entering Art fight again this year. I am HOPING to do more than 4 pics. "set small achievable l goal and you can go on to build bigger achievable goals." I tell myself. I am gonna not worry about things much and just draw whatever catches my fancy. Ive always been obsessed with making reference sheets for my characters so hopefully they will be helpful for those who wanna draw my blurbos or whatever the kids are calling them now...charis?...art babies? idk.
most of these guys are from my Moonlit lemonade series. you can read it on globalcomic , tapas, or comic fury. more pages coming soon.
