A horse head, a horse nose, and a Veotaelind head

The progenitor species of the Veotaelind is the Crownhorn, an egg-laying horse-like mammal the size of an African elephant. The Crownhorns, the Keamvan (keh-ahm-vahn) as they called themselves, were known by their singular horn-like protrusion upon their brow, which was known as the keam, the crown. The keam was colorful and patterned, unique like a human fingerprint, and had antler-like tines upon the thick base.

During a time of demonic attack, the Great Herds were in turmoil. They were being attacked and eaten by half-immortal monstrosities, and they cried out to God, Whom they know as the Great Lord, for aid. And He sent the Bright Star to hover over the Man Lands to the far south, where four Kingdoms allied themselves underneath it.

The Keamvan herds of the Everbloom Jungle, feeling the supernatural pull of the Bright Star, sent their finest warriors to follow the Star, leaving behind the young, the old, and the ill behind in their territories, and left with them able-bodied warriors to protect them. They came to the Allied Kingdoms and were trained alongside the tamed Keamvan and the tamed riding-dinosaurs in warfare. For a long time they trained, faithful in the Great Lord's protection yet also worrying for their loved ones left behind. Then one night the Star winked out, and the Bright Star War began the next day.

As the wild and tamed charged into battle the next day, a great horn sounded in the skies, and the Keamvan and the dinosaurs felt immense power well up within them. The Keamvan leapt into the air as the Veotaelind. The dinosaurs slithered into the air as the Knar.

And the war was won by the end of the day.

The Veotaelind have horse-like heads (though I may change their heads to be more seahorse-like, as they were in the original concept 🫤) and they developed more branching horns. They are extremely large, able to knock aside an elephant with a swipe of their paw, and with their Earth magic they are immensely durable.

So yup :D once I figure out a fullbody I'll get that posted too
