Rosegarden Week 2025 Day 3:

Can’t Lose You Again

If you listen closely, you can hear the gears in Ruby’s head go ‘Oh’

He found out what happened in the Ever After and refuses to let Ruby be alone again. They’re in this together.

It caught me off guard how pretty I made Ruby look. I based her Vacuo outfit off of one of Summer’s concept design (that I’m now so going to draw the full outfit for). Her hood is also meant to resemble a rose.

For Oscar I obviously based his look off The Little Prince, adding those stitches he has in both of his outfits. And I gave him a cute little ponytail since I’ve seen other artists give him one and I LOVE IT!

A little Ruby! Im posting two versions of this because I’m conflicted over which has better composition. I like the first one because it was what I was imagining when drawing this in the first place and how the white made the black pop (it reminded me of those paper storybooks). But I also liked the second one because the grey let Ruby’s red pop out more.

All in all, I really liked trying out this silhouette line less style.

This is my first time participating in Rosegarden week and I’m really excited! When I saw the prompt for Day 1 I went “Oh man, these two have some big ones, mentally and physically.” Poor kids

Also here’s the initially sketch which I really loved because of how sad they look and Oscar’s fluffy hair.
