It's so painful to think that Pierrot is willing to dismantle himself entirely just to feel the slightest bit of affection from us — he is so determined to be loved that he doesn't mind being someone else just to be looked at, to be chosen
And when we don't choose him, he goes mad. Because he needs to be loved; he caught the scent of the possibility of being cherished, and the dream, the mirage of being able to be chosen just once is enough to send him into this obsessive frenzy
