The Moorchild by Eloise McGraw
Moql’nkkn
Thus begins my little project to illustrate my favorite female characters from all my favorite books. And since, I don’t discriminate at the genre I read, this will include children's books, middle grade, YA and so on.
I hear a lot about other peoples fist books that got them reading. Most mention Harry Potter or Twilight. Well, I’ve always been in love with books. Even before I could read them myself. And around fifth or sixth grade I was finally taken to our local library and there it was. A book jumped out at me and it was The Moorchild. My very first great love and it was about fair folk and changelings!
I think this is partly responsible for my internal world of fairies and the inspiration for Denizens! Attention!
Moql is fierce and lonely and wonderful. She has long been one of my fave female characters.
there was only a boy I found who looked akin to what I imagined Moql’nkkn would appear like. So, have them with short hair.
My norn Ingrahm was born blind, but wears reading glasses to 'help him see' (really it's just another excuse for puns). Also, the worse the pun, the better for him.
That is fantastic and hilarious! My Nightmare Court Sylvari, Liam, is also a sucker for bad puns/jokes and loves to make them and everyone groans and hates him for it but he doesn’t care at all and will probably tell a bad joke on his deathbed
moql and I were diving in the grove when I glitched. I love when this happens, and we did the only thing we thought we had to do.
Have a dance party. It is the grove after all.

Their loss. There’s never enough Dragon Age. I just bought the first book of the prequel, myself.
Well you know who you're going to lend that to when you're done? I'll give you a hint, it's someone who hasn't gone to sleep before 4 for the past 4 nights.

Well I do, so yes. More please. Everything is Dragon Age and nothing hurts.
And who am I to deny such a request? Once I obtain food, I will continue ignoring this paper in favor of more Dragon Age.

I know the back of the neck as the ‘nape’. Never...
I know the word. But I still get confused when people just say 'neck'.
Shhhhh it's totally still Tuesday of obscure fandom week...! The Moorchild is pretty much my favorite book ever hands down no contest :D This is the titular moorchild, the changeling Saaski/Moql. ...Enya is REALLY good listening music for drawing fanart of a fictionalized Celtic world, haha.
