Yusuf Kama – the snake – how he decided it was appropriate to trap her here. In a sewer of all places? Was absolutely ridiculous! The man had seemed well enough – like he was going to be of some help, maybe even provide a bit of information that Tina could find useful. But of course, the moment she turned her back he had disarmed her. Taken her wand and locked her away – she supposed she would rot in a stinking sewer and she’s spent hours looking for another way out but it appeared he had chosen a rather sequestered section to store her in until he was able to complete what he started.
By the time she had finished her search and ranted to herself more than once – she was exhausted and despite her better judgement she curled up against the cleanest space she could find.
Though she wasn’t sure how long she had slept she would admit it hadn’t felt like much time at all had passed. Eyes flutter open at the sound of voices, sitting up she felt exhausted, but suddenly full of life within moments. Before her eyes she saw Newt and Jacob, followed by the snake himself.
“Newt…” His voice left her lips in a whispered breath – heart fluttered and her breathing stopped. So, this was the effect Newt Scamander had on her – she hadn’t forgotten how handsome he was, had missed seeing him even. But that didn’t matter – not after Spellbound’s article. Not after he had decided to get back with Leta.
Suddenly she felt the anger and jealousy rise within her. Eyes darted toward the ground, then back up – passing by Newt to watch Jacob. She was hurt and heartbroken – just seeing him almost had made her forget how hard the passing time had been since she’d found out.
The least he could have done was been straight with her.
“No – don’t come in here! It’s a –“ well, she was about to say trap when the gate materialized and Newt’s wand was also taken.
A sigh hangs heavy from her lips – now she had to add annoyed to her list of feelings.
“Mr. Scamander, what in the name of Greta Garbo are you doin’ here?”
