I know the timeline doesn't make sense but try to follow me. Just imagine:

HighSchool Senior Reid tutoring College Senior Derek in some course needed to graduate— IDK what it is (it could be Quantum Physics for all I care, who gives a shit), but you get my point. Reid's clearly crushin on the older guy and failing miserably to keep it lowkey, meanwhile Derek is too busy trying to make Reid laugh and let loose to really learn a damn thing. Maybe they make out in Derek's car after driving Reid home OR maybe it happens in the back corner of the library and they just can't get enough...

I’m rewatching Criminal Minds and I’m really noticing for the first time how Morgan goes out of his way to protect Reid at every single opportunity. Sending him away before confronting the unsub, insisting that he go into a dangerous hostage situation in Reid’s place. When Reid fails his qualification to carry a gun and Morgan gives him a whistle and tells him he’ll be there if Reid needs him. Even though it’s a joke, he still went out of his way to show Reid he’ll always keep him safe. And I’m supposed to be normal about that??
