I want to talk about my man here, Sakamoto Umetaro since I don't have real life and friends to talk to.
Includes spoilers from the manga below.
So yeah, I'm so inlove with this character. He's deranged. He's mentally ill inlove and it's very cute for me. It seems I'm attracted to humans who's sanity are hanging by a thread.
Look at this boyfailure. I want him.
I love that his room is full of Moriran "merch", that are actually his stolen photos of Mori. I was thinking maybe he's the fast-hand type when it comes to using phone cameras. Like some paparazzi shit. Or like my co-workers when I do something silly.
He actually is.
Another thing I really love about his character is that he's actually very cunning. He acts stupid and embarrassing but some of his actions suggest he's very smart. Good thing it's all wasted because he's stupidly inlove.
He will sabotage anyone, even his love interest!
(I got lazy translating)
Around this part, actually, I was thinking how deranged he is in his love. Well, we've been through this argument in Shiki (a great show about vampires, btw!) and I can say I'm into co-existing with the them because they are not real. But if it really happen, if it happen to my loved ones, or in Sakamoto's case, fell inlove with one, I'm not really sure what to do. And as I read this part, I did not agree with him. Moriran is smarter than Nagayoshi but his answer still does sound evil to me as a human. I agree to Serizawa that their existence is a danger to humankind. But when I think about it, they are just a small number in population and if they're targeting only "evil" people (I have mixed opinion about vigilance) then they're just like, some wild predators who happened to victimized some human and it's not so bad because they are the people most humans consider evil and--
(I should stop, I think I'm getting off-topic here)
And so, I think that part proves how Sakamoto can't actually kill Mori even though he said he would if he became too dangerous around humans. His sense of justice is also clouded because of love. Very cute~! He also believes in Mori's "humanity" like, damn. Bruh, you're inlove with a villain. But also it seems effective in manipulating Mori into doing good things instead...?
"Moriran! I knew you'll understand!"
Also strange that I feel like... Rihito might grow up like him...?
Nahh... Sakamoto's too freaky.
