You know what I would love and will happily write about when I have the time (crickets) is Mor and Emerie actually being a love interest pairing. BUT Emerie starts out with this crush being like she’s so pretty and bright as they all do, and then learning how she acts or treats people differently (to Nesta mostly and sometimes to Cassian and to Azriel) and being like wow this is the ugliest person I’ve ever met.
Because of course she doesn’t have the benefit of knowing anything about Mor’s past or Feyre’s or whatever so she only sees basic info, FACTS, what’s right in front of her, and those facts do not benefit Mor at all, because if Mor is blatanly not talking shit, she does not act friendly towards Nesta. Civil, but standoffish. In my fics she does revert back to mean Mor occasionally because well that was not resolved. AND THEN when Mor starts actually being like wow maybe I like her, what is this?? Emerie is like no, I’m over you actually (she’s not).
But Emerie starts being PETTY. She’s the first person to be like wow Mor that was rude of you. Maybe you need to learn if you have nothing nice to say you don’t say it at all. Like she takes MomFriend to a whole other level, but Mor likes her and she was sure Emerie used to like her so she’s like brain malfunction, what is going on? But Emerie is a ride or die best friend, and hell no will she let someone treat Nesta her BFF, horribly when the Nesta she knows and who is consistently that way with her is purity incarnate. I want that old switch-a-roo. Where Mor gets a taste of her own medicine, because that’s exactly what she did to Nesta for Cassian. But Emerie is so much more civil about it than Mor ever was, and mostly she’s just passive aggressive.
But eventually Mor does sheepishly try to be Nesta’s friend because she’s like damn. She’s not winning any friends here... or love interests, and that plays a significant role in the frenemies relationship turning to begrudging friends (which is a headcanon/fic idea for another time) between Nesta and Mor. Emerie sees this change in dynamic and is like not impressed. It takes a good amount of time before Emerie is like fine, maybe we can start over... maybe. I see a playing hard to get scenario between them. Don’t know why. Maybe I really like that trope. (shrugs).
But I’m obsessed with the idea of everyone joining the protect Nesta Archeron squad and Nesta being completely oblivious to this. Watch the House, Cassian, Emerie (Gwyn and Azriel--working on those headcanons) protect their girl because she’s comfortable, loving, healing, and working on herself and hell no will anyone make her feel unsafe to be like that.
