Well, gosh, I’m a basket case! I cry at fics, Holiday-season feel good family commercials, my daughter growing up, everyone who has been so kind to me recently and helped me get back on my feet, people falling in love, Miyazaki movies.

H: How long have you been writing?
Hmm, I started writing dumb little stories at about 8 or 9. I began writing poetry consistently at 11. I didn’t start fiction writing--as I consider it today--until... probably 22? Although I wrote a bad novel when I was about 15.
M: How do you feel when somebody gives harsh yet constructive criticism?
Depends on my depression at the moment, honestly. Usually it’s no big deal, but occasionally it will DESTROY ME for a day or two before I can come back and look at it.
Q: How do you get through writer’s block?
Hmm, I don’t think I’ve had writer’s block? Per se? I never don’t know WHAT I want to write, I just get big big BIIIIG anxiety attacks about the prospect of writing. But maybe this is just the same thing?
I try to get through it by typing stream of consciousness, or trying to write something a bit more fan-pleasing than my usual fare.
