unpopular opinion, sorta
all these TLJ novelization spoilers kind of got me riled up because
“I didn’t trust the harness we’d grabbed from the physio center. Not enough to hold someone for me. She was strapped with her back to my front.” (Ward 2.2)
Yep, I messed up. The worst part is, I don’t have time to redo this right now. I’ll post it, but will hopefully get back to fix it in the future.
Just to let any dedicated followers and my moots know, I will be unavailable from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CST for the next 4 days.
(Not including today.)

For reasons I will not be discussing, I am upset.

Thoughts on what’s happening in Italy right now
When people talk about famous sismic zones, they mention California or Chile or Japan. Everyone knows those places have earthquakes quite often.
Italy is currently living through some very distructive earhquakes. Three events in the last 48 hours pretty much distroyed a couple of towns, miraculously without victims (people had luckily got scared after the first, smaller one, and got out of their houses before the bigger ones arrived). Two months ago, another earthquake obliterated two or three little towns in another zone of Italy, although not that far from these last ones. Three hundreds people had died.
People do not expect Italy to be a sismic country. Not even italians, somehow.
And yet, it doesn’t happen that rarely. Seven years ago, my hometown was destroyed by a similar event, also with 300 deaths. And there’s more. Only during the 20th century, hundeds of thousands of people have died because of Earthquakes, and still, in those last few days, I hear my fellow citizens ask, “why is this happening now??”
This had been happening for centuries, we could go back to Pompeii itself, and god knows how many times before that.
Then why are people so surprised? Why isn’t Italy known for being a country at risk?
Why every time an eartquake happen, we have to find out that hundreds of people had died because the houses hadn’t been built to be safe? What the hell is wrong with this country?
