In another world thats mine and mine only

Knowing the only thing I can trust is uncertainty

But I am learning to embrace hope again slowly

I hold my gratitude and clutch my own body

This is me and i am mine

And I do my best to be what I want to embody

And ill take every chance, take every sign

To learn to love and take a chance

I always keep my heart open

To be softened by the waves of time

And write steady prose, line by line

early morning

same sight

im still mourning

memories haunt me

I exist somewhere in

The in between

I could try to explain it to you

But I don’t think you’d get what i mean

Reality seems more like a dream

And less concrete

Im always lucid

Feeling incomplete

Always searching for a light

Sticking to the shadows

I stay out of sight

Maybe in a few years it will all change

May every atom that felt hurt get rearranged

Im not holding out hope the same way as before

We all know the body has a way of keeping score

I loved you more than I thought I could love

Even when your words felt like a shove

Healing my heart in silence

I give myself time alone to cry

I gave it all to you, but you didnt even try

You pinned my wings and stole the knife from my grasp

You were a love that spoke violence

and I knew we would never last

Everything I invested was always imploding

You put fear in my heart

And my body started corroding

Such wear on my teenage body

Scars stain me like

Your cuts were a hobby

Drink my time up and

Bleed me dry

Oh, its always the same

Every time

Crack my spine

Still I looked for you for stability

When home is a prison

You look for escapes in anyone

The future was already written
