"Sitting on a Fire" Motivation Candle Spell
Are you struggling to get up and get shit done? This candle spell is perfect for you.
You Will Need:
An orange or red pillar or 7-day candle
Motivation oil, Mars oil, or full moon water
Any incense ash
Powdered cinnamon - power, speed, success
Powdered ginger - strength, success, speed
Getting Started:
1. Begin by carving into your candle. You can carve the word "motivation", carve the symbol of mars, the elemental symbol of fire, sigils (like this one), etc.
2. Mix together your incense ash, cinnamon, and ginger and add a touch of liquid (oil or water), stirring until you get a paste-like consistency.
3. Use this paste to anoint your candle, followed by your oil or water. Pull towards yourself while anointing in order to "pull in" your motivation.
4. Burn this candle whenever you need to be motivated to complete your tasks. When the task is complete, you can blow out or snuff the candle flame.
Optionally, if you'd like to incorporate spell timing, this candle is best created on a Tuesday and/or during a waxing moon.
Spell or Prayer or Something Else?
I have come to the understanding that I don't believe in magic. Haven't done a spell or anything like that in probably over a year. Just made a "spell" jar. To be fair I used to call them prayer jars, so it wasn't necessarily a spell, but still.
This one was for focus and motivation, and I think most of the past ones have been for confidence or love related things.
I have at least realized that I was being unhealthy with love related things. Not like in a taking away people's autonomy way, but in a "I can't be loved without magic" mindset way.
Anyway, I hope this jar helps me clean my room and get my summer homework done.
Tried to look at the correspondences a little differently. Instead of looking at lists people make, I kind of just use what I had and the connections my own brain made.
Ingredients:
Coffee grounds- energy
black tea with vanilla - energy and softness (so I'm not to hard on myself)
crushed red pepper- passion, energy, fire under my ass
salt - protection from distracting thoughts
black pepper- courage to get off the couch/out of bed
rosemary- purity of mind
cinnamon- passion, reminding me I love what I do
a little note with intentions.
Sealed with white wax and a little yellow.
Spell to attract good vibes
⛤Hello fellow crafters! ⛤
If you feel down, this spell will help you increase your personal battery, in order to stay focused on your important tasks.
You can do this spell whenever you need it.
It will take you about 20 min, in front of an altar, or a clean surface.
⛤What you will need :
Paper and pen
A pair of scissors
A bowl
A candle (white one preferably).
Ginger (dry ginger works too)
Cinnamon
Little glass bottle or jar
The first step is, as usual, to cleanse your altar or the place you will do the spell. Then :
On the paper, write all the tasks you need to accomplish.
Then close your eyes and focus on the link between these tasks and your energy. What will it bring you once done? Motivation? Fullfilment? A feeling of accomplishment? Focus on everything like this.
Then cut your paper in little pieces and put them in the bowl.
Add the ginger and the cinnamon in the bowl while chanting 3 times :
"Spices, reinforce and give powers to my wishes."
Light the candle and continue focusing on the bowl and say :
"Energies, reinforce yourself until the light goes down".
Then continue to focus and meditate on these tasks. When you feel recharged, put away the fire (DO NOT BLOW ON IT).
Finally, put the bowl mixture in the bottle or jar.
When you need this reinforcement in your energy, don't hesitate to open the jar and inhale what's inside.
Witchfully Yours,
⛤Isidora⛤
Could you share the motivation spell 😭😭😭
It's not as well written as some of my others because it wasn't written for the blog but maybe I'll make a prettier post for it later. Until then here you go:
Reusable Motivation Spell
Calendula for creativity
Rosemary for motivation.
Snake plant to anchor the spell.
Coffee grounds for energy.
Bay leaf for manifestation.
Place dried ingredients in a vessel, indicating the use of each ingredient.
Place the vessel near the snake plant.
Say “Give me the motivation needed to get (tasks) done. Like the dracaena trifasciata (snake plant) give me strength and resilience. So it is said, so it shall be.”
Re-up by shaking the vessel and adding magic to it any time you need more motivation, allow it to recharge by placing it back by the snake plant. Remember to recite the chant as you do it, as many times as feels right but I would do 7 times, personally.
Bonus: Create a sigil or choose a symbol and add it to the pot of the plant and put it inside the vessel to link the spell in a more physical manner.
Also, if you have trouble finding calendula whole, go out and see if you can find a tea that has it as an ingredient and use that instead. Make do with what's available to you.
Oh yeah, here's a few types of snake plants:
Creativi-tea Potion
Sorry, couldn’t help myself :) Here’s a potion I whip up for myself when I need that extra boost in my creative endeavors- or when I have writer’s block.
Tools:
White tea (for creativity + knowledge- I use white chai in the mornings for the caffeine kick)
Sugar to taste (to sweeten your creative process- use cinnamon sugar for an added boost of success + to make this potion work faster)
A stirring stick
A mug
A kettle (or a microwave, I don’t judge)
Get creative with your tea! Put extra intention into it by picking a white tea that has other fruits or herbs that correspond with your specific purpose. Use a flavored honey. Make this potion yours.
Steep the tea in near-boiling (not boiling for white tea) water to your liking (I do about 7 minutes to really get the flavor in). Take those tea bags out to prevent bitterness.
Sweeten with sugar (or any other sweetener) to taste! Don’t stir yet.
Focus on your mug. Really stare at the circle of tea. Now stir- clockwise! to attract and manifest- and repeat the following:
“I complete this session*,
answers flow to me.
I am filled with creativity.
No self doubt,
I know my worth,
I confidently do my work.”
Repeat until everything is incorporated and intuitively you know you are done.
*I use this spell before my writing sessions, but you can change “session” to whatever word best reflects the creativity you’re targeting.
If you work with deities, don’t forget that you can leave out a bit of the tea as an offering. Once the offering portion has gone cold, drink it and thank your deities.
Simple on the go Motivation Spell

"I am Ready
I am Able
I am Willing"
(stir clockwise)
"I am not afraid
Time I am not Killing"
(Stir counterclockwise)
Repeat several times throughout drinking and enjoy your boost of motivation!
