Story:
Two of her siblings, confirmed as killers. It was enough to make anyone wobbly.
She walked through the gathering with her head held high. Her apprentice, Sedgepaw, stuck to her side like glue, hissing at anyone who got too close.
Unfortunately, this didn’t deter Badgerfire.
The big Thunderclan tom had expressed romantic interest in her before, but after being soundly rejected (multiple times), he mocked her, calling her a weakling, a runt, even though they both knew she could beat him in a fight.
Those insults she took with dignity.
But then he insulted her father, Bumblewhisker, who had stayed at camp to look after a litter of kits that had lost their mother.
She gave no warning. Just leapt and smashed him into the ground until he stopped moving.
Then she left the gathering and calmly walked back to camp by herself. She told Bumblewhisker what had happened, and the look on his face broke her heart, but her father still groomed her messy fur and said how blessed he felt to have such brave kittens.
He told her that she was a good sister and daughter. That even though she had just murdered a cat-- blood still on her paws-- he was proud of her.
She left the nursery and walked to the edge of Windclan territory.
She didn’t see the fox until it was too late.
