I ain't no tourist no more...
The highlight of my morning was not the delicious bagel with lox (which is cheaper here because it's Scottish and we're a lot closer to Scotland). It was in fact when a woman with a British accent stopped me on the street and asked for directions to the entrance of The British Museum (it's around the corner from my flat). I was able to direct her, of course... I felt very proud of myself I have to say.
We're reading Julius Caesar in Shakespeare class and I was reminded of a lot of the moments in the production that Bing's Theater Department did my freshman year. I really enjoyed that intrepretation with the suits and heavy eye make-up and Marilyn Manson music, so it'll be interesting to see how the all female production we are seeing tomorrow night compares.
I absolutely love my theater course. It is with the same professor as Shakespeare and she's absolutely hilarious. She made fun of me for pronouncing Borough Market incorrectly.. I can't help it, my Connecticut accent doesn't allow me to pronounce o's that way. Emily and I had to present on Ancient Rome and Amphitheater's and I actually learned a lot from researching the time period that translated over into my Shakespeare discussion.
After dinner, Dana and I began researching hostel's and plane/train tickets for our first available weekend which happens to be her birthday weekend. We're thinking about going to France February 21st, we're going to look into it more tomorrow. Cohen, Courtney, and I started discussing going to Amsterdam March 8th so that's also a possibility. Cohen and I booked tickets for Agatha Christie's"Mousetrap" for Monday!
I ended the night watching Armageddon with Erica, Mariella, Dana, and Emily while planning a girls night for Friday with the girls on our program.
