There’s an endorsement career in his future.
Wolverine vol 2 148 was published with a cover date of March 2000. The issue was part of the Ages of Apocalypse comic event. The issue took place on Earth 2841 and introduced that world's versions of Fantastic Four (Ghost Rider/Danny Ketch, Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine), Mary Jane Watson Parker, May Parker, Stacey Kramer, Blastaar, Annihilus, Harpy (Betty Ross), Doombots, Doctor Doom (who died), Arnim Zola, High Overlord (Nate Grey), Lurch, and Graydon Creed. They were re-imagined or created by Erik Larsen and Roger Cruz. In this world, the original Fantastic Four were killed on behalf of the High Lord. ("Same as It Never Was", Wolverine vol 2 148, Marvel Comic Event).
Let's take a look a some of the grey Hulk's guest appearances in other titles during the first five years of Peter David's run on Incredible Hulk!
