I couldn't stop thinking about writing something like this since last Tuesday when I attended Kaion in Mexico City. Wow, I mean, Chanyeol is my bias and basically the love of my life, but I left totally mesmerized by JongIn, his essence, his vibe, his beauty. I'm truly in love with him and everything he awakened in me, so an idea like this wouldn't leave my mind. It's not the best, but it's something.

The bustle of the city seeped through the warm lights of the apartment I shared with Chanyeol. Life with him seemed perfect: his contagious laughter filled the rooms, his tenderness was hidden in the simplest gestures, and the safety of his embrace was a refuge in the midst of chaos. To anyone, we looked like the image of an unbreakable couple.

But in the darkest corners of my heart, a secret pulsed. One disguised as casual encounters, as glances held longer than they should be, as silences that burned more than words. That secret had a name: Kim Jongin.

It had all begun with a gaze that lingered far too long during a group meeting. My steps faltered when he smiled at me with that mix of sweetness and a hint of complicity. What once started as innocent conversations, as a friendship that seemed to grow and strengthen, turned into furtive messages and those messages into encounters that became harder and harder to stop.

That night, I had invented an excuse to leave the apartment. Chanyeol, trusting, left a kiss on my forehead before diving into the studio, lost among chords and notes.

The air felt different at the hotel where Jongin was waiting for me. The room was dim, lit only by the bedside lamp. He greeted me with a look that was half desire, half warning.

—You came—he whispered, with that deep voice that always made my certainties tremble.

I closed the door with a knot in my stomach. Just seeing him was enough for guilt to blend with an attraction I could no longer deny. Jongin pulled me closer with a gentleness that contrasted with the storm raging inside him.

But before kissing me, he rested his forehead against mine and murmured, almost urgently:

—We have to keep this a secret. We can’t let Chanyeol or anyone else find out.— I looked at him, my eyes shining with conflict.

Part of me wanted to turn around, to go back to the warmth of the home I had built with Chanyeol. But the other, the most dangerous part, burned for the moment, for the forbidden, for what only Jongin had awakened in me since that night months ago.

—I know, —I whispered, my voice barely audible— but it’s getting harder every time.—He smiled, though there was no joy in his lips. He pulled me closer and kissed me, with a desperate fire, as if every caress was a secret buried deep in our skin. Hours slipped away in a whirlwind of whispers, of impossible promises, of a desire we both knew was doomed.

When I finally rose to leave, Jongin caught my hand, holding it tightly.

—If he ever finds out… you’ll lose everything— he said, his gaze locked onto mine.

I swallowed hard, fully aware that this truth weighed more than any lie. And yet, in the echo of my heart, I knew I would keep coming back to his arms. Because sometimes love is not black or white, but an ocean of gray where one chooses to drown.

I walked out of the room with my soul divided, Jongin’s memory still burning on my skin, and the certainty that sooner or later, the truth would find its way to the surface.
