He describes his music as Heavy Folk, but the best part about his songs is that he’s such a fantastic storyteller... and the stories he tells are always a little creepy, a little bit Lovecraftian horror, all wrapped up in a package of normal before it stabs you with a twist.
The new song, Crow’s Nest, is an homage to Rime of the Ancient Mariner, after a fashion. Mr. Mojo plays every instrument except the tuba (which is in the background), and that’s played by my older son ;) My favorite part is the very, very end. This song gave me goosebumps TWICE!

Mr. Mojo (who calls himself The Pretensions when he’s down in the studio) has a new song out. He describes his music as ‘heavy folk’. I love it because each song always tells a story, and often an eldritch on.
In Truthteller, a man succeeds in capturing a spirit, a truthteller. The man is greedy and material, and demands a single truth, each year. He hopes for things that will make him rich and powerful, but truth, as we all know, is its own sword...
