Vitamins are kicking in, so let's gooooooo: Mordeson headcanon time!

So, I believe that Mordecai and Benson always compete against each other.

Mordecai was the one who first started this trend by constantly finding ways to get into Ben's nerves but eventually, it led to them both doing it at random points during the day.

This includes random staring contents. Other times there's the challenge of who gets overwhelmed or leaves the room by throwing flirting remarks at each other.

Or if we want to go for a family mordeson moment, maybe they do that thing where both parents call the child and see whom they will crawl/walk to (signifying they love that parent the most)

But one that springs to mind is in a beach setting.

I imagine a scenario where the park crew goes to the beach in the summer to relax and spend time together (like those business leisure activities).

I like the idea that Mordecai and Benson are chilling together in the water. Then out of nowhere, Mordecai goes "hey, ben, betcha ya 10 bucks I can hold my breath underwater the longest" and Ben exhaustedly replies with "no, please, don't do this to me now".

But Mordecai (being the little shit that he is) does it anyway, much to the dismay of Ben, who decides to join along.

And I have another headcanon where, since Ben is a gumball machine, deep down, his got no lungs.

So, you'll see a crossed-arm Benson floating nonchalantly inside the water, just staring at his employer.

Kind of like this:

Meanwhile, Mordecai has a panic attack, feeling like his lungs might collapse at any moment after staying there for less than 3 minutes.

And Ben notices that in shock and signals him to go up to breathe, but a stubborn Mordecai refuses because he's not about to let Ben win.

Thus, a 'I'm done with u' Ben forfeits first and swims up, followed by Mordecai, who is quick to celebrate his victory by going "OHHHH, get owned, Benson!!".

Only to then have a gasping attack, grabbing his chest to get more air in his lungs while Ben only stares at him, disappointed. Still, Ben does that mouth-to-mouth technique on him, despite Mordo not really need it, as he's still on his feet.

Ultimately, it ends with them smooching while Rigby screams at them to stop acting grossly in public.

Rigby: «checking the donuts in the box» Hey, dude, which flavor do ya want?

Mordecai: Mmm, I dunno… I’m feeling adventurous, so give me the… Umm… Pumpkin!”.

Benson: «barges into the kitchen, fuming» What?! What the heck do you want, n-noooow…?”.

«Mordecai and Rigby silently stare at Benson, who stiffly walks away without muttering another word»

«Mordecai gradually looks at Rigby, who seems disappointed in him»

Mordecai: “Jealous much… loser?”.

Rigby: Bitch!! The nerve!”.

Benson was numb.

Sitting on the grass with a straight face, just staring out to who knows where.

"Eh~ Having one of those days, uh?".

Such a familiar voice surprised him as he turned around, spotting his slouch of an employer carrying a guitar. A soft smile was seen on his surprisingly tired facial expression.

Yet, the bearded man looked away. "I want to be alone".

"I figure. So, instead, how about I play some tunes to rewind~?".

Benson was about to protest but was caught off guard as he felt a slight height against his back. Peeking over his shoulder, he saw Mordecai sitting behind, strumming his fingers on the cords.

A rather beautiful melody escaped his talented fingers.

One that led the park manager to truly unwind and comfortably lean on his slacker.

"You don't have to do this".

"I know~".

As music spread out into the atmosphere, so did Benson's dread as he felt serenity.
