@mrs-white-is-my-wife Here ya go!
———————————————————————
Ever since the events inside the manor had gone down, two of the guests and decided to stay in touch and grow particularly close. Those two guests had both been non other then Ms. Scarlet and Mrs. White.
After the story, Ms. Scarlet had fallen hopelessly in love. A type of love that if anyone were to ask about, she would deny immediately. She had to keep her reputation up for her clients, and though she would never admit it, she wouldn’t want Mrs. White to find out from word on the streets. God, she didn’t even know if Mrs. White was into women! It was all so frustrating- she had just wanted to cuddle up next to her and provide her with happiness that a man never could.
While on the other hand, Mrs. White was also tempted to admit her feelings. It had been so long since she had seen Ms. Scarlet, and she longed to hear her upbeat voice chime. She had never felt this way before, most definitely not with any man. As much as she had tried to convince her self otherwise, Mrs. White was smart and strategic, and she knew she was hopelessly in love.
This cycle had gone on for about a month. They had had simple chats over the phone, Ms. Scarlet being able to make Mrs. White crack a smile whenever they talked, or Mrs. White slowly starting to open up about the pain with each husband. To anyone else, the romantic tension between the two was thick.
It wasn’t until Ms. Scarlet had finally cracked. She wished to see Mrs. White’s face, hear her voice, talk to her, and not through a telephone. She had called her up one morning, and thus they planned their first outing, and Ms. Scarlet was set on confessing her true feelings.
It was around sun down. The streets were quiet and they weren’t at all busy. But down on the boardwalk you would be able to spot an extravagant lady, dressed in the newest, brightest, multicolored fashion, and walking next to her, a quite petite lady devoid of any color. As they walked along, Ms. Scarlet realized that this was it. This is were she needed to spill her feelings. But before she could, Mrs. White had gripped onto her hand.
“I...Im not sure exactly how I can say this...” Mrs. White managed to peep out. A bright red blush seemed to be painted on to her features. She had stopped walking by now. She couldn’t believe what she was doing. Tears slightly spilled out of her eyes, ones she hadn’t shed in years. “But...I think- No, I know that Im in love with you...” She whispered and sniffed beyond her tears.
S-shes so beautiful...Mrs. Scarlet thought. But before any thoughts could rush through her mind, she had lost all control, pulling Mrs. White into a kiss, one that tasted like tears and cherry lip-balm. But Ms. Scarlet didn’t mind, no, she was to happy. After all of the craziness that had happened in the past year, she had finally filled that gape in her heart. Her own tears, in fact had started to pour. She didn’t want to pull away, she wanted this to last forever. But she knew that her beloved probably wanted some air.
So, as she pulled back, she saw Mrs. White’s tear stained face, but with a smile. It was so odd to see the widow with a grin on her face. So Ms. Scarlet couldn’t help but pull one of her own.
As the sunset finally reached its last moments, as its glow had disappeared, if you were to look beyond the streets and homes, you would be able to spot two women, of the complete opposite, but still walking hand in hand.
