“Night falls on Mt. Pyre...”

Spread painted for @hoennzine! I went with a decently unhinged concept and am very happy with the result!

I’ve been super super hesitant to put this out to the public, but I’m officially coining RSEMtPyregender.

This is a xenogender that feels extremely connected to Mt. Pyre only from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. It can be to the place itself, the aesthetic of it, or the music, such as my case.

Pronouns include pyre/pyreself like I use.

I hope this does not come off as offensive as I know what Mt Pyre is for, but I’ve held back too long.

Mt. Pyre

Another major objective that I have for when it comes to going back in time to update the advanced series is ... including Mt. Pyre, where the Red Orb and Blue Orb rest (at the submit/top). Mt. Pyre is an important location in the Hoenn Region. And in the original version, Mt. Pyre was never seen, let alone mentioned ... so I thought I should fix that by actually including Mt. Pyre to expand the story and having it play a role in the Team Magma/Team Aqua arc.

And I thought of a new episode for Mt. Pyre, and the episode that Mt. Pyre appears in would be titled... “Thieves of Mt Pyre”. I’ll go over the plot of this new episode in a future post, so stay tuned. ^^

Anyway, as for the summary of Mt. Pyre’s role(s), here it is... Team Aqua arrives at the submit of Mt. Pyre... Aqua Admins Matt and Shelly hold back the people of Mt. Pyre, while Aqua Leader Archie takes the Blue Orb. Once he has the Blue Orb, Archie leaves Mt. Pyre, along with the rest of Team Aqua, and they get into their submarine and head underwater. Later the same day, our heroes; Ash, May, Max, and Brock... arrive at Mt. Pyre, wanting to see the orbs. However, by the time they get near the top of the mountain, they see Team Magma grunts everywhere, and after a few battles against the grunts, our heroes are stopped by Magma Admins Tabitha and Courtney. Our heroes manage to get passed the admins, but they’re too late, as Magma Leader Maxie has taken the Red Orb. Maxie and the rest of Team Magma leave Mt. Pyre, bound for Slateport City. Ash and May check the people of Mt. Pyre, and are happy that none of them were hurt, however, they don’t have time to be happy as Ash, May, Max, and Brock promise the people of Mt. Pyre that they’ll get the orbs back as soon as possible, and our heroes race off to Slateport City. Some time after the Groudon VS Kyogre crisis ... and after Ash and May get the Red Orb and Blue Orb out of their bodies, our heroes return to Mt. Pyre to return both Orbs to where they rightfully belong. The people of Mt. Pyre are happy that the Orbs are back and thank our heroes for their duty of getting the orbs back, and the Orbs shall remain untouched, especially with the people of Mt. Pyre to keep an eagle’s eye on them.
