The Elephant Collection is an incredible collection which truly honors the legacy of its contents. I've never played a collection of older games which felt so cohesive and meaningful. All the games are preserved wonderfully and wrapped tightly in a nice form factor that respects and elevates them. I feel overjoyed that these delightfully silly little games are handled with such love and compassion.

102. Samorost 1

Samorost was kind of mythical in my memory, but after playing it, I feel like it's a bit of an odd duck. I really vibe with the art and can see the vision, but there's not a whole lot to it that makes it live up to the pedestal I'd subconsciously placed it on. That being said, I did still like it, I just didn't get much out of it.

This, too, is yuri.

Brilliantly written, but I'm never getting the final achievement because it ruined the experience for me due to inconsistency and stupidness and fuck you. If I ignore that... yes, this game is very cool. And it's yuri, obviously, definitely.

98. Pink Hour

A tiny little slice of the gameplay present in Kero Blaster. Hard mode was tough but not too tough. I very much enjoyed this.

96. Vampire Survivors: Ante Chamber

The Castlevania DLC for Vampire Survivors is so fucking massive that I had to take a break from it to play the most recent DLC, which was this Balatro-themed crossover. Pretty easy to "beat," as it only contains one relatively standard map and four new characters with four new weapons. The main star of this DLC is the new Survarot mechanic, which all of the new characters utilize. The gist of it is that whenever you acquire a Survarot, you draft a card themed around one of the base-game characters which grants stat bonuses that level up alongside you. It adds another layer of complexity to runs in a game that is consistently growing in complexity, but I like it.

95. Metroid Prime Remastered

I won't be speaking on how well this game holds up as a remake, because I never played Prime on GameCube. But as a game, Prime is solid. It's a pretty good adaptation of the 2D Metroid formula to a first-person shooter. Combat feels mostly pretty enjoyable, sometimes rather clunky. Swapping between beam and visor types late game was always annoying, but maybe the original control scheme handles it better; I was using the dual stick + gyro controls, which mostly suited me fine. I also found the boss fights to be a bit meh. But a majority of the time, I was having a blast.
