“ I think the thing I struggled with is not knowing if I had a place within the industry because I am such a specific ethnicity that there really is nothing. I mean there’s nothing written for me. but I’m able to play these traditionally caucasian roles, so it’s just waiting for someone to take that chance and thankfully creative teams are starting to do it and give women of color a chance to portray these gorgeous characters. ”
