did anyone else read muddle earth??? it was this very blatant lotr parody about a guy named joe who got magically transported into “muddle earth” (so this dude deadass got his “girl/guy falls into middle earth” fic published) and there was a wizard named Randalf who was a bumbling idiot i think? and i might be confusing this with another book but there was a warrior lady named brenda or something and i was super lesbian for her. but yeah does anyone else remember this book?

What is...

…the book you’re most likely to recommend to someone regardless of who it is?

The "Rivers of London" (Peter Grant) series by Ben Aaronovitch!!! So... "Rivers of London" (the first book of the series) would be the book I'd recommend to them. It's such an thrilling story and the characters are wonderful (even tho not all are nice). It has many POC (characters(?)), at least one gay main character, gods of rivers and places, vampires, demons, people who life underneath he city of London..... And MAGIC✨

("Inkheart" or rather "Inkspell" by Cornelia Funke would be the second most likely book I'd recommend - to anyone who loves fantasy. And the reason I'd recommend the second book is just that the second and third book take place in the Inkworld itself and not "just" in our world but with characters from it but all three books of the series are very (!!!) recommendable 💚 other reasons here😊)

…the one you’ve read the most times over?

Surprisingly that's not Harry Potter or "Pirates!" by Celia Rees but "Muddle Earth" by Chris Riddell and Paul Stewart.

It's my emotional support story 😉 which is always beside my bed because it helps me when having nightmares, sleeplessness or anxiety attacks ☺️ I have to have read it already about 20 times😅

Been stuck in bed feeling really ill the last few days and so I came back to this book from my childhood. It's like my comfort book, I read it whenever I'm having a sick day and need to escape into the nonsensical world of Muddle Earth with Joe and Henry and it always makes me smile even now. Anyone else have a comfort book for times like these?

ohh, good question! probably someone from a book or another, even though I already talked about the most random background book characters here too (looking at you Dennis Brinkley, who appears in one (1) Caroline Graham book and gets killed off after 30 pages or so😭)

went to check my bookshelves and decided on the tea spoon* from "Muddle Earth" <3

I wish I too could meet a sentient tea spoon, and go on a random adventure with evil teddy bears, sassy dragon ladys (MARGOT!!!!), elves and trolls, ogres and warrior princesses (Brenda, my beloved (and her battle cat, Sniffy😭) <- I think Brenda started my love for sweet and muscular women), pathetic leaders (I'm so so happy about the ending the Horned Baron got <3 I'm even happy for Ingrid, and Fifi, go get your man, girl!!)

*he's just a little guy and he traveled such a long way even though he's so small and every time he's close to his destiny something happens😭💔 he's so dutiful!!! <- if James Norrington got turned into a piece of cutlery lmaoo

sorry, this got a little out of hand. this is the book I have read the most often! like by far!!

honorable mention: Adilean Eletilla and Amorannon Asdurvarlun from "Tharkarún" by Chiara Strazulla 💔 (if you love high fantasy and have no trouble with 5+ places, 4+ parallel plot lines and 30+ named charachters, go read this!!!)

I think I'm pretty content with the bubble of the fandom I'm in currently and their views on my blorbos <3

29. has a fanfic about your Blorbo ever made you cry?

absolutely!! starting by my very own aaol fanfic where I made both of my blorbos suffer a lot :3

One of the more recent one's is this horror-Meckett fanfic <- even after reading the tag "character death" you are somehow never prepared for it.... which reminds me of Elle's Until The Legs Have Swung <- elle, when I finf you *throws a rock at you*😭, luckily there's a happier ending available to heal my poor little heart.........

there's also one of my most treasured (german) fanfic for Dancing with the Vampires that I first read like 13 years ago <- same spiel here, I just want them all to be happy and not suffer 💔includes some absolutely adorable original characters that I remember and love to this day! Marquis Louis-Pascal de Mortemart might be (another) reason (next to listening to Maggie talk about him!) that I like Chevalle so much lmao (btw "Bonne Chance, Chéri•e" ifyou want to read more about him; and Karl von Hürth (you lovely Kölsch man)!! ntm Dr. Baumgartner <3
