Name: Hanna.
Nicknames: Spääns (for my little sister), Hana-aniki (for my Yuuta person, sweetie mudoon <3). And maybe some people actually use Suga-Hanna?
Birthday: March 8th.
Age: 27.
Gender: Female.
Sexual Orientation: Mostly bi, right now I seem to only like girls though.
Significant other: Would need to be okay with seeing me once a week at most - I have lots of interesting things going on but being in a relationship is not one of them.
Height: 157cm
Work/School: Campaign coordinator in an environmental NGO. I’m working on saving the world from climate change.
Favorite color: Blue.
Time and date: 17:15, April 1st.
Average hours of sleep: Seven plus.
Last thing I googled: Haha, “vety lihapiirakka”! I was checking a traditional recipe of a dish from my hometown that someone veganized recently.
Number of blankets I sleep under: One, relatively thin.
Favorite movies: Infernal Affairs trilogy, some Marvel films, love and anarchy films.
Favorite animations: Prince of Tennis, Mirage of Blaze and Parasyte. Lion King II (don’t judge me), Aladdin.
Favorite shows: Nature documentaries. <3
Favorite food: Vegan Thai pineaple curry and tortillas.
Favorite place to shop for clothes: Second-hand or some probably too expensive eco brands. If I had spare money I’d have someone design modernized versions of traditional Japanese clothing for me so that I could wear them at work while not being frowned upon.
Last movie I saw in theaters: Hm, I think Gravity? I cried a lot. Space is a wondeful thing.
Last book I read: Actually I have many books actively ongoing right now! Japanese Erotic Art - The Hidden World of Shunga by Ofer Shagan, Handbook to life in medieval and early modern Japan by William E. Deal, Classic Haiku by Miura Yuzuru and The Oldest Living Things in the World by Rachel Sussman. Oh, and Mirage of Blaze by Kuwabara Mizuna.
A place that makes me happy: Botanical gardens here in Helsinki.
What are you doing today: I finished work a while ago, so maybe reading those books and working out a bit next!
I’ll tag arysthaeniru, fuji-fallenangel, biitti, fureimingukosupure, kulorautias and yanagay, feel free to skip though if you don’t feel like doing this!
Of course my darling Boots(nbuttsnbootsnbuttsn) gives me the most ridiculous prompt to start this shindig off. (Have I mentioned how much I hate you dear? Because I do. What even is this drabble….)
Bonus Round: “That’s not really a banana, is it.”
Lewis was working with efficient industry in the kitchen when the disgusted cry came.
“Oh my god, who shit on the counter?!”
Startled, Lewis whirled around to see Arthur pointing a horrified finger at the brown object in question. Glancing at it, Lewis raised an eyebrow. “…It’s a banana, Arthur.” Behind the mechanic, Vivi and Mystery poked their heads into the kitchen to see what the fuss was about.
“But…it’s brown,” Arthur insisted. The look on his face was a cross between bewilderment and horror. His eyebrows were pinched together, while his mouth was twisted into a grimace as he turned wide eyes on Lewis. Lewis tried not to laugh. “That’s not really a banana, is it.” It was a statement, not a question, as if Arthur needed validation for whatever his imagination had conjured up.
“It is a banana,” Lewis corrected, setting the mixing bowl down as he stepped up beside the blonde. It was a very sad looking banana, but that was the point. “I threw it in the fridge yesterday, because it was getting too ripe. The peels brown when you do that. Didn’t you know?”
“But—“ Arthur’s protest was cut off as Vivi came up from behind him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and dug her chin into his shoulder.
Giving in to the urge to chuckle, Lewis knuckled Arthur’s skull, ruffling his hair with a vicious little movement. “I was going to use it to make some banana muffins. Of course, if it doesn’t meet the standards of his Majesty, I can always just throw it out.”
Vivi immediately shot Lewis a murderous look. “Oh no you don’t!” She let go of Arthur’s waist to pound her fists into his back, ignoring his yelps of distress. “Arthur, you better not have deprived me of Lewis’ home cooking! Lewis, tell me you’re joking!”
Lewis held up his hands defensively. “I’m joking Vivi, I promise!” He gave her a sheepish look, the corner of his mouth curling apologetically. “I wouldn’t waste food like that, you know that.” He should have known better than to threaten Vivi’s stomach’s satisfaction. She could get downright vicious when hungry.
“That’s right,” she said with a decisive nod, finally letting up on her abuse of Arthur. Arthur rubbed at his shoulder as he shot her a wounded look. Inexorably, his gaze was pulled back to the fruit on the counter. Lewis didn’t quite understand what was so fascinating about a banana, but he decided to leave things be now that the imagined crisis was over. Now that Vivi was in the kitchen, her appetite would need to be satiated soon. Not to mention Mystery had also ventured forth from his position at the doorway to sit expectantly at Lewis’ feet.
Turning back to his cooking, Lewis almost missed the horrified little whisper from Arthur.
“Bananas should be yellow….”
----
Story behind the story; my step-mom’s dad was super poor when he was a kid. So poor, that one day in class when the teacher asked what color bananas were, he answered “brown” because he had literally never seen a ripe banana before. That story always stuck with me, especially considering how successful he became. (Dude is quite literally rich now. Built a western-style mansion in Japan, to give you a clue.)
Anyway, I decided to turn that story on its ear with little richboy!Arthur, the poor thing, who has never seen an overripe banana. I don’t think I really got that across in the drabble, but I’m done with this. I wash my hands of this. Boots I seriously hate you sometimes *cries*

Aren’t we all self-entitled, tho? I mean, if we finish a work and we don’t like it and we point it out, we act self-entitled because of what we expected, if we like it we are self-entitled because we don’t care about others who might haven’t liked it
Pretty much. It's impossible to view fiction without expectations, and sometimes those expectations are not met; sometimes there are better explanations for that and sometimes there are not. But to insist someone isn't allowed to the right of their individual experience, or to try and communicate that disappointment even without actually insisting the result was wrong, uh...

And anon is an entitled bitch. There, all solved.
Hahaha, well, that's one way of looking at it, too.

maybe it’s the case of after enjoying the episode they love it, and then they saw why it kinda sucked, and it made you wonder why you liked it in the first place. For me, I didn’t connect w/ the ep, so I don’t mind you pointing out what’s lacking.
—the same thing happened to me with dark knight rises, really. I loved it, went home, read some reviews, and… yeah. I realized why some ppl don’t like it. Some take it well, some feels like their enjoyment is being attacked.
But I agree them attacking you for pointing out logical arguments why it doesn’t connect with you is shitty, though. Let it all out, I’m reading it all. And weeping. And crying myself to sleep out of the DEEP investment not paid off.
This is very true, and ties a lot into what I expressed about self-confidence; on some level or the other, we're always bound to be hinged on the idea that what we enjoyed also has to objectively be good, but the point where you can just put your hands up and say, you know what, i acknowledge the flaws and like it anyway, well, that's really nobody's business. It's also why I've tried to mainly restrict any critical musings to my own blog, because if someone feels attacked by what I am not deliberately even shoving down their throat, well... let's just say the person lifting me as a voice of authority, in that situation, isn't me.

Oof, yeah, I totally understand this. ): Taking a break from replies for a moment sounds like a sound idea, for sure. (Also, darkest timeline Makoto, oh my gosh…)
I ended up taking a bit too long a break tbh... but hey, at least it's given me time to put distance between myself and a lot of things, so it's easier to address a lot of things with more optimism, now.
