Fourth Recipe

Hey there foodies, we know that these past weeks you didn’t had a lot of news from us, but were tough weeks for us (exam season)! Now, we are back and better than ever, a lot of exciting news are coming soon. So basically, during these weeks we were working on our intermediate presentation, where we need to present our past work and redefine some new things like the market/competitors analysis. We made a value curve comparing our business with a competitor´s one, which we choose as an ice-cream truck, and a TAM, SAM, SOM analysis. With this we discover that is not so easy like that to position ourselves in the market since it is a really new market and there are just a few direct competitors but a lot of indirect ones. Also, we tried to gather some data to start doing a more numeric analysis and to improve our TAM, SAM, SOM analysis but it requires a lot of time and effort so this took more time than what we expected. Now, the more exciting news, we are expecting to release a new post this week with the flavours that we are going to develop! Your opinion about it will be very important. Also, a new logo is coming out! And we won’t keep you waiting! :)

First Recipe

You may wonder where this idea comes from? As we described ourselves we are three master students studying management at Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, but for now in this project it is fair to say that we are three “little entrepreneurs”. During one class of Lean Entrepreneurship Project our purpose was to come up with some ideas to create a start-up, it was there that our start-up: MuffCake Factory born. We joined two ideas from two of our entrepreneurs: Philip and Agatha to create a a food truck that has the main goal of satisfy the craves of the most trendy foodies with some organic muffins and cupcakes. At the same time we started to think in some partnerships to fulfil the customer experience, like with Nespresso or some natural juices (we are still developing this part). Through our next posts we will try to share with you our main achievements, questions, insecurities, lessons learned, and much more. Additionally, we hope that our experience help any other students or individuals that are starting their projects. Keep in touch, and we will be a open “book” for any comment/suggestion that you have for us.
