And I cannot stress how difficult it is to fill your wardrobe with cute, non-revealing and affordable clothes... I think men cannot relate to this point at any level because the fashion industry makes it much more difficult for women to dress modestly.
..And as if all that isn’t enough, there is also a lot of discouraging media out there, such as memes, videos and even talk and half-assed opinions about what Hijab is, what a Muhajaba should to should’t do/wear/say and all kinds of mantras à-la-”If you’re going to do X, you might as well not wear Hijab.” Women have been compared lollipops with wrappers, pearls in their shell, chicken with their feathers and all kinds of other things just to get some slut-shaming point across. A woman without Hijab is not a lollipop without a wrapper, not a pearl outside of its shell and not a chicken without it’s feathers. She’s simply a women without Hijab. And a woman who doesn’t wear Hijab according to someone’s liking isn’t a Hoejabi or a Muhajababe. She’s simply a women who doesn’t wear Hijab according to that person’s liking.
